I did have a great time! I just re-read what I wrote, and it sounds like I'm really down about it. I'm definitely NOT. (I wouldn't be hunting for more tickets if I were! LOL) The show was really good, and you could tell they were jazzed with it being the last show of the leg and the last show with Daughtry. (Richie even came out and watched part of Daughtry's set from just off the side of the stage.) I had a great seat with friends around me (totally luck of the draw with Backstage as we all had single tickets). I know what's wrong -- I wanted Hey God, and I wanted a different song from Richie. <pout> I tried not to get my hopes up, but I couldn't help it. After we got Always on Wednesday (when I'd prepared myself for "vanilla"), I was just sure we'd get another gem on Thursday. And I still don't understand IBTFY both nights. Now that I think about it, I did get one of my wishes . . . no Bed of Roses on Thursday! LOL

Here's a link to the KTF incident - Somebody just posted on Backstage that Jon was frustrated by a production problem that locked them into one camera for the screens and that meant he couldn't do much. That makes as much sense as anything, because no one saw anything happen with people in the front row that might have upset him.

Hey Terri! I just wanted to say HI and that I had a wonderful time hanging out with you and the gang in Nashville and Atlanta.

Did I see that you're looking to add more shows??? Any chance that van can swing by East Tennessee and pick me up on the way?

I was over in section one Hughs side in the 6th row and had a perfect view of the cameraman incident. All it was was that Jon was standing at his mike singing and his camera guy was swinging back and forth on the track the camera runs on angling for shots and the cameras movement was distracting Jon. He threww his maracas down onto the track got the camera guys attention, gave him a "what are you doing?? You're bugging the piss out of me" look and went on singing. It seemed he just wanted the camera guy to move off to one side and shoot from there because the camera movemnet was bugging him. The camera guy picked up the maracas put them back on the front edge of the stage, someone had already replaced them with another set by the drum risers, and Jon picked up the set he had thrown and tossed them to a kid in the front row.
He was frustrated for like 2 minutes then went back to being fine.

For me night two was the better show not setlist wise because we got always night one, but because Jon and the band were really into having a good time night two, and even though there were no amazing songs this night was truly about performing and IMO they di that, Jon especially excellently. The crowds in Atlanta were great both nights, on their feet very loud, very into the shows.

Hey Dawn! Yes, I'd say the southern girls know how to have fun before, during and after a Jovi show. I really appreciate how I've been welcomed into the group!

I'm not ready to admit (or is that confess) what I have done/am doing just yet. I fear that I won't be able to take the jet-propelled, Jovi-blasting, dog show-equipped minivan for any future trips down the Lost Highway, though, so I don't think I'll be able to pick you up. Too bad! I'd love the company. Once I start the van, the dogs just go to sleep and are no help at all!

Thanks so much for the explanation about the KTF incident. We couldn't see the lead-up from where we were -- just when Jon threw the maracas and looked so annoyed. I'm glad it wasn't as bad as it looked!

I've been working on my photos from the 2 shows, and you can see how much they guys were enjoying themselves both nights. Lots of smiles and camaraderie -- made it a ton of fun to be there. And as I said, makes me want to look for more tickets. LOL Can you say "addiction"?!

Yes, too bad. I'm completed addicted too and have no idea how I could add another show although I pretty much got the OK from hubby. Too bad they are all too far away and too much $$$$. I'm never gonna say never though.

I'm sure glad that Jon didn't let the little incident during KTF completely sour his mood. It did seem to be very short lived and he was right back into the show.

It was a great show, but I think I'm gonna have to give Greensboro the nod for my favorite show.

IMO, the show was fantastic and I don't even like Complicated or Summertime or hearing Richie sing. But the energy that the band had and the way Jon sang well all night and the antics with Chris Daughtry were all fantastic. Maybe because I got to hear Jon sing IBTFY properly last year, I didn't even *care* that Richie was singing it that night. It doesn't bother me anymore. If I hear Jon sing it again next year, it will have that magic touch again and I can appreciate it even more. Maybe because the band was playing well and Jon was singing well, I didn't *care* that I think that Complicated is one of the worst songs they've ever recorded. I sang along and ENJOYED MYSELF anyway. I severely misjuged "We Got It Going On" the first time I heard it. I believe I called it "ubercrap." I was SO WRONG. I can honestly say that I think this is my new favorite "live" song, not that it takes the place of songs like KTF, Saturday Night, LYHOM or other favorites, but that it joins their ranks for me. It's rambunctious and lively and fun. When you can go from having that much fun singing along to just listening in awe as Jon sings "Make a Memory" or "Hallelujah" it's an exhilerating expierence. I got chills listening to "Hallelujah."

It's almost funny to read so many "well that was crap" reviews based on the setlist. If you weren't there, does it even matter? The bootleg CD you get three months from now won't sound like the actual show anyway. They never match the real sound.

I don't know, maybe it's because I'm a bit of a pragmatist, but I don't see the point in analyzing set lists just to bitch about them. I'd rather go to the show and have fun than stand there sulking about things that I have no control over anyway.

BTW... Jon left by the 1st section of seats and because everyone on my row had left already, I got to be at the aisle. He grabbed my hand as he passed and my best friend also made contact with him so it was a really special moment to be able to share that--especially since we attended our first Bon Jovi concert together 19 years ago!

Becky, thanks for your review. I wondered if you were there. Here's a quick clip that someone recorded when Chris came out in the wig. Looks really funny!

I agree about WGIGO, as much as everyone says it's a crap song, live it goes over VERY well, at least at the US/Canada shows I attended.
