Could probably manage it earlier in the set-list, but not at the end.
Then again, his voice can't cope with the majority of pre-01 songs, and we know it would be poor gig without those songs.

I don't think putting it in the set earlier would make it sound better. It takes him about an hour to get his vocals warmed up a bit nowadays, and usually after 2 hours he's peaking, hence Faith being played an hour into the show and Prayer being played 2 hours into the show. He just can't sing most songs anymore permanently, even stuff like Have A Nice Day or It's My Life sounds rather average, it's just that we got used to the average quality of his vocals nowadays that we don't notice it as much anymore.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Salaam Aleikum,

All valid points - and goes to show how much studio manipulation there is to make the vocals sound better than they are.
Better to call it a day than be just another act that uses auto-tune!

I'd still rather have bad, original versions of "Always" and the other ballads, than mediocre TLFR versions of them.

They should downtune these songs, but keeping the rhythm and instrumentation.

This is a very good 'standard' vanilla setlist. I wouldn't mind it. The holy BOBITA is there, only 1 turd from LH (MAM), no more than 3 songs from the weak sauce new album. At least 4 songs from the holy trinity of KTF, SWW and NJ.

On the second chorus it starts going doing downhill immensely...
Arrrrrgh ... Dropt it ... This is embarassing. This is by far the worst performance I've ever seen of this song.

great solo by Phil X on Always. The guitar tone sounds like the very first few times the band played the song.

I'm actually getting quite into the idea of hearing him play.

That version of Always is almost as bad as the acoustic one from 2003. After Jon basically reclaimed this song with powerful performances in 2008, it's really depressing to see him fall back to this shitty level of performance. I mean it's a complete mess. And don't start this bullshit about where it's placed in the setlist-- he had no trouble with that 2 years ago, so why the hell would a 51 year old man suddenly struggle with it now?
