I never did get to see Bon Jovi live in the 90's as I was only a teenager who couldn't afford a concert ticket. But I've been watching the '95 Wembeley concerts and its just amazing. Not just Jon's voice but it was "electric".

When I saw them in 2000, 2008 and 2010 they were great shows. 2011 was OK. Richie went to rehab right after and you could tell he was off. I was also 5 months pregnant so that may have played a part.

This was the show I saw in 2010. Alas, we shall see what awaits me in July.

I would, only in the sense that I would want to see which egomaniac would kill the other first. (That's not a knock on either Btw, as both have been hugely important in my life, but both can be huge dicks.)

Meh. Would be a great set if you had never seen the band before but really, doesn't Jon want to do something different for a change?

Although I know Jon writes the setlists, I imagine Richie would have some sort of influence on some nights. Every so often he might say 'hey Jon, you feeling These Days tonight' and JBJ might go 'yeah, why not'. Richie played These Days on every night of his solo tour so I think he's more keen on the album than Jon.

Without him, Jon does whatever he can be arsed.

You have to remember here that Bon Jovi haven't played in South Africa for 18 years, so there are going to be people there that want to hear hits. Its not like these people can get to other concerts around the local area either. Australia would be nearest for them but its still a massive ball ache to get there. Whats the common trait here:

People want to hear hits, not raraties. Thats the consensus I got by this clip. On this occasion Jon played it correctly - really long concert with all the hits. DOnt get me wrong, i'd be a little deflated if this was at Villa Park next month. Dry County, Always and the cover songs made it into an ok setlist.
