His voice was particularly bad in Sofia but it has been dodgy all tour. I think blaming it all on allergies is convenient and probably gives Jon some comfort but it's not the full story. I can't feel bad for him. He only started looking after his voice properly in the last few years by stopping smoking, getting proper coaching, but it's all catching up pretty quick now.

Why the booing? Because 'allergies' is a smokescreen for a voice which was taken for granted and hasn't been properly looked after

Fair point but look at the guy he's apologetic pissed off with himself and what does he get.. Booed, don't get me wrong I'm one of the first to criticise old Jonny boy but I'm also one of the first to stick up for the guy

Yeah, I think booing would be very harsh. You can see he is beat up about it, and to be honest, setlist wise they have delivered enough of a show, pretty much the bare minimum that I would expect for a show, 20 songs close it out with Prayer & Wanted.

I'd be more pissed if they just wrapped it up early for no reason, like they did in Bristol a few years back, rather than when he is obviously struggling. It's just a shame there's issue after issue on this tour, not all connected but all adding up to a less than stellar experience. I hope that originally planned "secret show" tonight is treated as a rehearsal to get plenty of rarities practiced and slotted into the setlists at the upcoming shows.

This is NOT booing.
I am a big fan of the band. Waited for 15 years to see them on home turf. I know he did his best given the circumstances. Yet, I can't get over the fact that they will play much longer sets in every other city after Sofia. Yes, it was beyond his control and it certainly wasn't our fault. We supported the band like crazy in the golden circle. However, when I draw the line, here is what I get:
- we gave them a helluva welcome
- we screamed, shouted and made noise as if there were no tomorrow
- we get a short set because of Jon's allergy
- Jon gets back to the plane, getting ready for the rest of the tour.
He didn't lose anything that night. But we lost a whole ****ing hour of pure excellence. I know I may sound cruel. When you get 1 show in 30 years, you want the best, the longest, the most perfect performance. I didn't get that. It will take me quite a while to learn to accept what happened in the end.
