I can't explain it, maybe it has something to do (in my personal experience) that this was a major hit here in Argentina while I was a kid, and it was one of the first songs of this band that I heard in my life. Also, I love the lyrics:

If the pain that Im feeling so strong
Is the reason that Im holding on

Or the bridge:

Baby, I thought you and me would stand the test of time
Like we got away with the perfect crime but
We were just a legend in my mind
I guess that I was blind

Remember those nights dancing at the masquerade
The clowns wore smiles that wouldn't fade
You and I were the renegades, some things never change

Specially the bolded part, and let's not begin with the chorus, the "If the love that I got for you is gone. If the river I cried aint that long. Then Im wrong, yeah I'm wrong, this ain't a love song" is just out of this world.

And the music has that passion and feeling that I just can't help not loving that song. Another masterpiece of the out of this world record that is These Days.

Edit: About the video, I hate the version with the dude that get's punched. The other one with the band ain't that bad.

exactly. and I was there. and it was magical. I still believe, deep down, that Richie will be back on time for the next Lisbon gig.

If they had been playing TAALS off and on for the last 15 years but only busted out BOR or Always 3 times, we'd be begging for BOR or Always.

All three songs are great ballads, BUT TAALS was the biggest hit off their best album. Are there better songs on TD, yeah, but it is the one we should expect to hear more often... and it is also in my top 5 on my bucket list.

That's true, what drives me crazy is that they had the holy trinity of Bed of Roses, I'll Be There For You and Always and forget about Livin' In Sin, This Ain't A Love Song, Lie To Me, Thank You For Loving Me! They could easily rotate those songs every night, This Ain't A Love Song sounded nasal, but some practice could make it improve, Thank You For Loving Me was out of this world.

I've already heard Roses, Always and I'll Be There For You, now I want to hear other ballad... sadly, that's unlikely to happen.

Best setlist of the tour so far.

Can't believe Always and These Days was played back to back. I wonder how Jon's voice held up.

Best setlist of the tour probably, but that isn't saying much. This show is very similar to the last one in 2011. Comparing the two, In: I Love This Town, Memory, WGIGO, Lost Highway, and the three new ones. Out: LYHOM, Blaze of Glory, Bells of Freedom, Blood on Blood, I'll Be There For You, The More Things Change. When you look at it that way, the best BWC tour setlist is still much weaker than a mostly average show from the last tour, not even considering how much Jon's voice has deteriorated and Richie's absence. It's still a step in the right direction though.

Now here's a set that when you read it, you realize in a heartbeat that they are touring Europe.

Hope it only gets better from here.
