hmmm best show of the three seen so far but it means nothing and I felt nothing ....
this is done with efforts - yes - but it is not enough for me.
I agree with Seb's post.
I didn't feel any emotion at all. I thought that if the setlist was going to be better I would finally be able to forget the huge hole on that stage, but no it is not working. I am sorry guys, actually I do am SORRY and it is heartbreaking .... This is not Bon Jovi, they go on, they have their reasons but without Richie (feeling almost like it's not ok to say that name anymore) it's not good at all even with good songs ...
I was there this is how I feel I am not judging just to be critical. It was my time and my money I have absolutely all the right reasons to be vocal ...
Jon is working the crowd like crazy to keep them alert but it is not easy, he tries all the tricks to seduce it works but it is difficult and laborious. On a normal time Jon doesn't have to do that. The cell phone thing is to give them something to do during Wanted to cheat and not mention or show that Richie is missing ...I don't get that attitude ! It would work so much better if Jon said something about the other guy who made the band with him... Sorry but this is so obviously about ego and pride between the two.
I think Phil X is not good and not fitting the role(not the right style). I don't get why people are so happy about him being there to me he is butchering Bon Jovi - there is so much soul and delicacy in Richie way of playing - I have enough of the people saying don't blame Phil...why not ? His Richie replacement is giving him a by pass to heaven as if he was a Saint ? He is, not only, filling a space on stage that is not his but what he does is not good at all - even it is rude somehow.
I am speechless that Jon is letting that happen. I really don't need to kiss Phil's butt or anyone's for that matter.
I thought the crowd was like numb yesterday, usually after a show, you feel the excitement the people happy wanting to talk to each other singing loud and having fun in the streets - but yesterday people were quiet....ok it's over let's go home....

One happy mention... I was second row in Sofia and Vienna, from there you see nothing of the stage, yesterday I was on the back of the pit. I could see the stage well IT'S COOL with all the colors, you miss it all closer to the stage.

My friend touring since Keep the Faith told me: Is THAT the 30 years tour ? It sucks! The message to sum the 30 years tour is a tour without Richie Sambora ? WTF ?
Why he is not there we will never know but it should not have happened or NOT THAT WAY .... They have to mention him they have to stop pretending NOTHING is different it is insulting !

After 3 attempts These Days was finally played! The show lasted 3 hours plus, it was awesome.

I don't know if you guys already saw this press conference:

Appartenly it was done for the concert in Wien and Jon briefly talks about Richie, saying that they didn't fight or fire him and that he just did not show up...
He alludes to some kind of issues he might be dealing with: hope Richie's OK.
He also says Richie is welcome to come back when and if he wants to. Well I really hope there's nothing bad with him (he posted a picture from Twitter on his webpage whiel driving with his daughter and he seemed to be fine) and that he decides to hit the road with the band again really soon! (hopefully by the Milan date )

A note to the creator of the topic: The song that you don't know is Start Me Up of the Rolling Stones

If the pain that Im feeling so strong
Is the reason that Im holding on

Or the bridge:

Baby, I thought you and me would stand the test of time
Like we got away with the perfect crime but
We were just a legend in my mind
I guess that I was blind

Remember those nights dancing at the masquerade
The clowns wore smiles that wouldn't fade
You and I were the renegades, some things never change

Specially the bolded part, and let's not begin with the chorus, the "If the love that I got for you is gone. If the river I cried aint that long. Then Im wrong, yeah I'm wrong, this ain't a love song" is just out of this world.

And the music has that passion and feeling that I just can't help not loving that song. Another masterpiece of the out of this world record that is These Days.

Edit: About the video, I hate the version with the dude that get's punched. The other one with the band ain't that bad.
Ok, after going through it again in my head I see your point - I think what actually "ruins" it for me is the video that's stuck somewhere in the back of my head Maybe I have to go and revisit TD as a whole again - has been at least a couple of years that I haven't listened to any of it...

Still, I've seen it live and it was ok, but didn't get such a great crowd reaction if I recall correctly - damn, that's 18 years ago now

I have got Manchester, Birmingham and London and after this one I am more hopeful of getting a good show.

I've already heard Roses, Always and I'll Be There For You, now I want to hear other ballad... sadly, that's unlikely to happen.
Yeah, Living In Sin is awesome, was fortunate enough to get it live twice - the first time acoustic in Kiel 2003 and the second time in Hamburg 2008 - they should definitely play that more often! Also Thank You For Loving Me - love that song and had it as my wedding song - very much underrated IMO...

And concerning ballads on TD: right, TAALS was the first single, and some kind of a hit, but Lie To Me is the better ballad for me

what bothers me is the difference in duration of the shows on tour, depending on Jon s mood, allergy crowd or whatever. f*** that. people pay hugh amounts of money for their shows. everybody should get the same. I went to dusseldorf and zeebrugge in 2011 both ending after livin on a prayer, while other shows got 2 or 3 encores and were 2,5 or 3 hours, you can t give people only 2 hours .... hopefully sofia was a big exception. hoping for a good show in cologne 22th june

The basic setlist from song 1 till 19 is absolutely horrible. No interest to hear any of those. Encore is good though.
