I really enjoyed the vids I saw from this show on YouTube, Jon sounds better than the other concerts this tour sofar.

Dry County was awesome, These Days wasn't bad either, the guitar solo was poor. But I'm sure Phil will fiX that. As he is my new hero now.

I was at the show, and IT WAS GREAT! From 5 shows I've seen in Munich it was the longest (if only by a minute, but still). Was THE MAGIC there? Of course not, because Richie wasn't there. But the remaining members still managed to put on one hell of a show. Phil was good, but his playing/style can't make up for RS (he did a fine job on "Bed Of Roses" and "Dry County" though).
I didn't expect a lot and from that persective I was blown away. Jon was great, his voice was too. Was he fighting with the vocals during "Always"? Sure. But he gave it all, the song did still work in the stadium atmosphere, and he delivered a great "These Days" afterwards. I even didn't mind "I Love This Town" as a closer (I got a crush on that song anyway... ).

Ok, let's agree it was a very good show. It is what it is. And it was worth it. To everyone complaining about setlists on paper and youtube vocals and bad vocals from a 50-year old... yesterday I was reminded why I like (Jon) Bon Jovi so much. He was into it. And again I realized that some people just can't be satisfied and can't take a good show for just being that - a good show. No, I'm not without criticism. Bobby is a joke and the trio of CC/WWBTF/WSYCGH was boring and they lost me. But then during "Sleep" we got the best cover-medley ever and they won me back in a second and didn't let me go. Boy, did it rock!

Of course the setlist wasn't surprising (and quite similar to Munich 2011), but what matters is that the show was great. Everyone who has a ticket should check it out. Still, I'm not going to a 2nd show unless the King Of Swing is back.

Talking about...
I did talk to Obie. Met him during the first support act in the second GC. I asked him about Richie. I'm paraphrasing what he said: Obie talks to Richie every couple of days on the phone and said Richie will definitely be back, he has some "family stuff" to take care of right now. (We didn't talk about a specific date, but my friend said he has tickets for Cologne and asked about a chance to see Richie there, and Obie said "yes").

I also asked him if he's going to do another boxset, and from what I could make of his answer is that he is working on one for next year's anniversary.
I asked Obie about the setlist, but he hadn't seen it yet. He said: "I hope they play sth from These Days", and we both agreed that it is a timeless masterpiece (and he added, he just hopes they will do "I&OOL" only once...).
I don't like Obie much (more his work in the last 13 years), but it's always fun talking to him (met him just once before). Of course Obie could just be making it all up and stuff, I'm just saying what he said.

Mirielle what exactly is Jon supposed to do? Why would he mention Richie and draw even more attention to the fact he's not there when I guarantee half the crowd wouldn't even know. It's like your using Richie's absence as an excuse to attack Jon yet again which is quite ridiculous when you've said yourself he was trying to do everything he can.

I know my shows won't be the same without Richie but I'm more than capable of still having a great time at a show if the rest put in the effort.

The guitar solos made me a little sad, they just didn't sound quite right. Richie's harmonies were also very much missed during the whole show. Phil was OK, but I got nothing from him emotionally.
Agreed. Also "When We Were Beautiful" was surprisingly good.

What The H*LL did Phil X do to the solo in TD?! There's not one word to describe how bad that was.

It's far from bad, but it just doesn't fit. At all.
