I attended both shows so here our my thoughts:

The crowd in Montreal is fantastic! I think it was louder on the 2nd night which is a good thing because they drown out a lot of Jon's vocal issues. I noticed he had a tough time singing Lost Highway, Who Says, Because We Can, In These Arms, and especially These Days. I was very happy to hear These Days considering it's quite rare in Montreal. The crowd didn't seem to care much about it though which is too bad. Speaking of rare, after 14 shows, I got to hear I'd Die For you for the 1st time which was very exciting! That excitement however didn't last for very long because I honestly expected Dry County/Always to open the encore.....only to get Memory!!! Don't get me wrong, I like the song but was not expecting it all. I was so worried that after Prayer that would be it which would've been 1 song less than the previous night. Jon was waiting for his guitar for awhile so I thought we were going to get I Love This Town. Phew, I'm glad I was wrong. I could hear Jon asking Dave which song to sing after Blood and saw Dave mime I'll Be There For you. 1st time I hear it with Phil X. Obviously it's different than with Richie but still very enjoyable plus I thought Jon sounded decent.

I was so confused by the opening on the 2nd night. When I saw the band come on stage with the house lights on, my thought was wtf? They started to jam and I had no clue what song iwas being played until I heard Jon (cuz I couldn't find him) sing seven days of Saturday... I knew right away we were going to get a different show than from the previous night which was awesome because I wanted to prove to my wife that going to 2 Jovi shows back to back in the same city wasn't a dumb idea and waste of money.

As far as Jon as a frontman goes, imo he hasn't lost a beat! The energy that man has is incredible! It looked like he was having a seizure before the one more time part in Bad Medicine. Also, watching Tico beat on those drums is amazing!

Overall, it was 2 excellent concerts! I know Jon can't sing like he used to but with the music being so loud, the background vocals, and the crowd drowning him out, as a casual fan, I don't think you'd ever notice. As mentioned above, I found it strange that he had a hard time singing the newer mid tempo type songs like Lost Highway/Because We Can opposed to imo sounding good during It's My life/Born To be My Baby. Easy fix: drop them permanently from the set! I'm afraid that Whole Lot Of Leaving will stay forever due to the Do we got it anymore line that made the bell centre go insane! I like the song but hate the placement in the set.

If Bon Jovi keep coming to Montreal, I will continue to drive the 7 hours to attend the shows. My advice to anyone from overseas wanting to see a Jovi show in North America but cannot decide which city to visit, GO TO MONTREAL! Passionate fans and a lovely city, make for an awesome experience!
