Wow what a stagnant set besides Memphis Lives In Me and TMTC. This last part of the American tour at least on paper makes me shake my head. Is this all they can do. Color me disappointed especially if I was going to more then one show. As much as I complain about their European set lists, I really have it good living in the NYC/NJ Tri-state Area. I hope the performance was better than what I just read.

Memphis was just Dave. It was a real treat. I was very happy with the set list. Superman Tonight, The More Things Change, Whole Lot of Leaving, Keep the Faith were all highlights. Jon sounded great. Phil has a great energy about him and he's a stellar player with flare. I got such a kick out of watching Tico watch Jon and taking his cues from every movement Jon made. Billy Falcon opened the show and he was really good. He sounded much better than he did in Atlanta in 1994. BTW he said he'd be opening in Norway. All in all, it was a great show and it was different from Atlanta so I'm pleased. There are some songs that I know I'll always have to put up with and I don't let that ruin the show for me. They're not BAD even if I am tired of them. Jon is the best performer I've ever seen. He astounds me every time I see him. He sounds so good and puts on such a physical show. I'm in awe. I wish I was going to St. Louis.
