It's a good song... one of the few really good songs (or steps forward) on The Circle. It is a song I am thankful to have seen too.

He's filling in for Richie as far as I know. So why can't he sing the things that Richie sung? I find it completely normal that he sung the wanted verse.. Richie used to do it now and then so..

Excellent video of Dry County - it looks as it is easy on Jon's voice too. Far from bad performance:

I get that some people like it, which is great but my point is that it shouldn't be nailed to the setlist. It wasn't a hit and it bombed at the gigs I went to in London and NJ. Another Jon favourite.

Spectacular video of Dry County! Wow, great vocals from Jon and GREAT solo from Phil. I may go a little far here but that solo was in the same leauge as Richie. What a solo man Jon looks really satisfied with Phil after the solo! Great video

I don't really buy that. I think there's an element to that, but frankly the vocals are just as hard on Jersey, and most of the Faith tracks. To see why TD (VERY UNFAIRLY) get ignored you have to look deeper. I've always found the comments in the WWWB film and book pretty telling there.

The These Days record is perceived as being socially conscious or darker. "Hey God" and those kinds of songs worked great for me, but they aren't necessarily the ones that work best live or became the ones I perform every night. Usually it's the songs like "It's My Life' and "Livin' On A Prayer" that says to those folks "Come on, get up, you can do it! Get out there and fight the next round." They're the ones that resonate. I know it's not easy for anybody in this day and age. It's getting harder every day. People want optimism. They want to know that everything is going to be alright.
I honestly believe in Jon's mind that's why the album flopped in the US, and why it's been mostly ignored since then.

Meh, the vocals are pretty good but the guitar solo isn't that spectacular. It's pretty much the same lick all over and over and over again, there's no build up at all and to be honest; I could've done that and I'm not in the same league as Phil is so I don't really understand why it's this average compared to his guitar solo to Keep The Faith.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan
