Default Official May 24, 2008 Olympic Stadium, Munich thread

Welcome to Johnny's church of Rock'n'Roll... the Olympic Stadium in Munich!

So who's going? I'm taking off later tomorrow so I wanted to start a thread now...

The show from the OWN tour had an extra encore (IBTFY) after the fireworks.

The show from the Bounce Tour had three songs from "These Days" (TD, Diamond Ring, Something To Believe In) and was very spontaneous overall. The band was in excellent mood and played for three hours. Jon didn't wanna leave the stage.

The show from the HAND tour had "These Days" and "Dry County". Again they played for three hours.

Let's see what the guys have in store for us this time. I'm taking my niece to her very first BJ concert so it better be good!

I was there last time, it was friken brilliant! Have to settle for the Frankfurt show in a couple of weeks, though it is a known fact that they do love Munich for some reason....

oi, that was a ****ed up experience. My broken toe and the Bon Jovi concert...the pain-killer generated numbness during the Nickelback show...hehe...was a good day, definitely. Are you still in Germany?

I'm hoping it will be a good set like Gelsenkirchen.

Would love to see Any Other Day being played too

The set will be better than in Gelsenkirchen. They always deliver the goods in Munich.

Like Morgan Freeman's character says at the end of Se7en: I agree with the second part.

Been there for the OWN and HAND shows, missed the Bounce show for a different gig that day. All Munich shows the past three tours had been outstanding, that's why I decided to go their again despite it not being the nearest show for me. It's gonna be my third time in Munich but I have mixed feelings this time around because:

- it's only the second show in Europe, the great Munich shows were usually towards the end of the leg
- despite some quality Gelsenkirchen yesterday was somewhat disappointing regarding show length and number of songs
- Leipzig is the following day, I'm afraid they'll play it standard in Munich therefore
-if I'm right Leipzig has not been on the schedule for 8 years, maybe getting a better show therefore

Then again, they really seem to dig Munich. Let It Rock.
