I'm glad that you are getting to go to at least one show this tour And I have to agree with you about the drama. As I just said in another thread - maybe I am more invested in the music than any particular band member. In my opinion the music has not suffered even though it has changed a bit. I thoroughly enjoyed both shows this weekend.

Richie is my most favourite member of the band and I definitely want hom back as soon as possible. And I still believe he will be there for Europe, yesterday, I ordered GC ticket for Munich instead for GA! On the other hand - there are tons of band which have replaced their members, key members, sometimes more than once, and they still perform. It is not the end of the world, it just happens. I'm proud that Bon Jovi stayed the same apart from the thing with Alec and Hugh but to be honest, their music is not that brilliantly unique and difficult to cover that some of the guys can't be replaced. They are definitely better than many of the 80s hair bands. Brian May in Queen can't be replaced, not Richie Sambora in Bon Jovi. Even though I don't want Bon Jovi without him. However in this case, when a competent rock guitarist is philling in, the tragedy and nervous breakdowns going on here are bit out of the place. Just my opinions..

This song was never a favorite of mine live even as far back as the NJ tour, but this was the stand out song for me at both Nassau and Mohegan Sun.

THis is the biggest misconception of all time in Bon Jovi land--the fact that I'll Be There For You was written for Jon's wife. It's bullshit. It was primarily written by Richie. I wish I still knew where the interview was online that I read where he basically admitted that he largely wrote the song.

A bit blurry, but this is Jon waving off Lorenza after Prayer.

Thanx for posting the pic, interesting for a multitude of reasons. Anyway, it must not be a good feeling to get *waved off* although, of course, she's a professional, etc. And, Jon must have had his reasons, still, I wouldn't like getting waved off - LOL ...

I heard Jon and Richie mention this in a interview that they did back in 1988 for NJ. It was an Australian interview for radio station Triple M. They asked about each songs on the CD. When it came to IBTFY, Jon said it was for his girlfriend Dora. Not taking it away from Richie but coming from Jon, he said himself, it was for her. Richie was with him during the interivew.
