To all the JTers going to this show, hang in there. I hope you enjoy it . . . or at least have lots of good drinks at the postmortem.

Can't drink - it's allergy season Not only that but we are driving to Connecticut after the show so we will be there for the Mohegan Sun show tomorrow night.

I am planning on enjoying my weekend away in any case - and I will see how the show hits me. I'm trying to keep an open mind.

I forgot about the allergy issue. Clearly the only option left is my "drug" of choice. A concert postmortem at Baskin-Robbins isn't quite the same as at an Irish pub, but you gotta do something!

Tell Paul to enjoy the opening act.

Rides on the LIRR aren't too much fun when one is slightly inebriated... not that I know first hand or anything....

Also, I will be live-tweeting the set as usual (as long as my phone battery stays charged)

It looks like it. Atlanta is next Saturday. Unless I really can't handle that, I have so many friends going to the 3 the following weekend that I really hate to miss them. Or at least that's my plan as of right now.

What I can't help but wonder is why did they even schedule these shows? They'd said the shows in February and March were going to be it for the U.S. Then they announced these shows, and they went on sale at the beginning of February. If Richie had been doing so badly this whole tour as some have said, why'd they schedule MORE shows?

If I had to guess, the additional shows were based on Richie's own input of being "able" to do them. Now, should the band have said, "really Richie?" probably, but anyone who has dealt with someone with a substance abuse problem, as I have, knows, it's not that simple.
