Milton Keynes
It was a hot day in England, a bit cloudy. After a long taxiride we got from Bedford to Milton Keynes (which was 30 pounds one way *Yikes*). We got there quite late, the fanclub queue was moving already. We were quite fortunate to get in anyway and sat at the back of the pit. The first support act Spin started and I basically fell asleep (sorry guys but I was too tired to watch again). The same happened during Nickelback. This because of the beer I had before (this was Tom's fault!). So blame Tom!
Anyway Bon Jovi got on stage before 8 o'clock and started with a cover "Rocking In The Free World", this was a very nice treat. I hadn't heard this song in real life since 1996. After that the predictable "You Give Love A Bad Name" was played, just like it was at the most concerts of the European Tour. To hear "Wild In The Streets" the first time this tour was great, it's a good live song, especially the solo parts. Jon managed to screw up the part with "This is my home town", it sounded quite flat to be honest (sorry Backstagers). I am actually quite bored of "Captain Crash & The Beauty Queen From Mars", because it is overplayed, just like "Who Says You Can't Go Home".
To hear "Born To Be My Baby" and "Story Of My Life" was pretty good, I like these songs live quite a lot. It was nice to hear "Bounce" the first time of the tour too, it rocked. After that we got "I'll Sleep When I'm Dead", which is pretty good if they do a medley of the song. I told everyone we would get a "Dancing In The Streets" inserted in the song because they did a different medley the night before. Next on was "Runaway" with the timewarp and "Just Older", I don't like these songs that much because they are overplayed and they were played too slow. David started the intro of "In These Arms" after "Just Older", it's always good to hear this song although it's lowered 1,5 key. The high parts where sung by David, I guess he has got a better vocal range than Jon has nowadays. Jon walked over the catwalk and we saw him (Jippie!!), isn't he hot

(quote from a Finnish girl named Laura).
We knew we would get "Have A Nice Day" and "Who Says You Can't Go Home" after "In These Arms". The solo from Bobby during "Have A Nice Day" was quite good, a lot better than the one during "In These Arms". The new single "Who Says You Can't Go Home" is horrible, I sat down during this song as I hate the "It's alright" parts in the song. It makes the song boring and uninteresting for me. It takes too much time, they could easily play the radio edit of the song and play one more song. I guess Jon has his reasons to like this song. Next on was "It's My Life", which was played way too slow. But at least the talkbox worked this night. Nothing more to say about this song.
"Bells Of Freedom" was one of the highlights of this show, it's a very good song live, Jon manages to put all the emotion in the song. I don't want to talk about "Always", because it was very bad and very boring, time to sit again. Richie playing "I"ll Be There For You", is a good thing, although it was better the first night. He didn't do the scream in the song also the solo was a bit shorter than the first night. Next on was "Everyday", the song is quite boring, although the solo from Richie saves the song a bit. It was pretty easy to know that the crowdpleasers "Bad Medicine", "Raise Your Hands" and "Livin' On A Prayer", finally they played "Shout" again during "Bad Medicine" it was great to hear it after 3 years.
After "Livin' On A Prayer" there was a break and then the encore started, the first song was "Blood On Blood", I wasn't too happy with this one since they played it the first night too. I'd rather hear "Dry County", so this was a dissapointment for me. Richie sang the second verse of "Wanted Dead Or Alive", the solo was pretty good, I couldn't be bothered too much with this song to be honest. The first surprise in the encore was "These Days", I though they would play "Someday I'll Be Saturday Night". It sounded pretty good, Jon was actually playing an acoustic guitar, from some people in the audience said that the vocals where quite off. I didn't notice that fortunately. The guitar solo was brilliant. The next song was "Last Man Standing", it was pretty good, I like this song a lot but not in the encore! Booh! Bad Jon, you suck! "Keep The Faith" was good especially the jungle noises, this is the way a show should end.
I was fortunate to meet up with a lot of nice people, you know who you are! Next stop: Giants!
Highlights of the show: "Rocking In The Free World", "Wild In The Streets", "Bounce", the medley of "I'll Sleep When I'm Dead", "Bells Of Freedom", "These Days" and "Keep The Faith".
Dissapointing things of the show: "Who says You Can't Go Home", "Always" played "This Left Feels Right" style and no "Dry County".
