i saw them int he HAND tour in Tokyo. Very different experience. The crowd are more subdued but they still went crazy when Jon walked from the platform used in LMS along to the stage. My friend and I were right on the barrier and got majorly squished.

As far as I could tell the Japanese fans like the older stuff, but they are all really nice and friendly.

I would say the japanese shows are fitting the japanese crowd but those are not as thrilling for an european fan (too much much strict policy for example)
the japanese shows used the be fantastic setlist and quality wise but it's not the same for the last 2 cds ... (since then they have decreased the number of shows they do there drastically)

when i said i thought jovi shows in japan were the greatest, i was referring to the setlist. i know the japanese audience isn't the most enthusiastic one

Rosie I know what you mean but we also know that the setlist doesn't say it all and no the setlists are not always outstanding neither ... but with 2 shows in tokyo I guess it won't be bad of course ...

definitely... i prefer a killer atmosphere and a vanilla setlist, than the other way around (except if i'm watching the show on tv or hearing it on the radio/cd )

So much for a hoped for WOWOW broadcast. There is no sign of scheduling so it's not happening.

I was just thinking of checking WOWOW but that's pretty balls since they usually are quality. Then again, nothing about Jovi's 2008 performance WOWOW aired was spectacular.
