Default Official October 8, 2010 - Rio de Janeiro, Brazil thread

Predicitions, previews, reviews, and rants all go here. Bon Jovi have not played in Rio since 10/27/1995.

The set was:

1. Rockin' In The Free World
2. Hey God
3. Livin' On A Prayer
4. You Give Love A Bad Name
5. Keep The Faith
6. These Days
7. Blaze Of Glory
8. Damned
9. Someday I'll Be Saturday Night
10. Something For The Pain
11. Lay Your Hands On Me
12. I'll Sleep When I'm Dead
~ Papa Was A Rolling Stone
~ Jumpin' Jack Flash
13. Bad Medicine
14. Shout

Encore 1:
15. Always
16. Wanted Dead Or Alive
17. With A Little Help From My Friends

Encore 2:
18. Runaway
19. This Ain't A Love Song / Como Yo Nadie Te Ha Amado

Itīs probably their last show ever in South America ... So Iīll go for a long shot: Itīs hard letting you go will be played ... !!!!

Last show ever?? Dont be so pessimist!!!!
I hope they return for the other tours...

For the Brazil concerts, something tells me that Misunderstood will be played... once a soap opera theme song, a hit here!

Well .. it took them 15 years to come back ... São Paulo gig sold fine, but Rio gig sold poorly ... And besides, I donīt know why, but I canīt see them on another tour as big as this one , visiting south america again ...

Rio sold poorly? Where does this info came from?
Usually this rumours are fake. I remember people saying that Guns n Roses show in Rio was not selling, and the place turned out to be packed! I doubt BJ will sell poorly in Rio, I really do!

Thereīs still plenty of tickets to sell on the official sales website ... and people who went to the places where they are selling tickets in Rio reported that there were 2 , 3 persons in front of them to buy tickets ...

exactly
this is true for every show on this tour but the subject seems TABOO not only on backstage ... Bon Jovi cannot not sell out shows it's like it's important for the fans 's ego to think their band sell well...but not this time YES THEY CAN SELL POORLY even in south america

Actually itīs not that important to me ... Iīm just saying that if a place doesnīt sell that well, it might mean to Jon that they shouldnīt go back there ...

I know what you mean but Jon and the band cannot be too picky they tried and they may not go back there again anytime soon
they didnt sell that well nowhere on this tour even the NMS was not that a success and they had major discounted tickets there too ...they are doing an extensive tour but they usually focus on the same cities where they will visit 5 or 6 times a tour but nothing was working that well this tour ...this tour they tried to hit again markets that were supposed to LOVE them back well enough ..loving them back a lot because very much deprieved of them for a long time and it didn't work ..the same happened to Aerosmith a few years ago ....they made an extended but at the end the fans didnt fall for them

Thatīs true ... but I still think that if they lowered the prices a bit, ticket sales wouldīve been much better ...
