I saw a picture of the setlist. Sleep was an audible. Saturday Night was supposed to be the last song.

I was thinking the same thing myself. Granted, these are one-offs for non die-hards, but jeez, have some balls.

Just watched the thread, and yeah he didnt sound to great, all the basics are there though, just the higher notes he seemed to be struggling with, and that will come back with practice im sure.

I agree with the new songs though, at least 1 could have been played especially with him banging on about how its been ready for ages and hes desperate for us to hear it.

Having said that, i just love this band, and seeing them perform again got me all excited for the new tour and album!!!!!

There will be a reason they're not playing the new songs yet - it's certanly nothing to do with them not being proud of them! Jon probably just doesn't think it's the right time yet with the release still 4 months away.

I dunno ... Have A Nice Day was first played like a year before the album release, and before the song was actually even finished. The anticipation for that album was about a million times what it seems to be for this one

Aloha !

The way Jon sings Run Run Rudolph is kind of showing how much he's enjoying the entire show. There also seems to be a bit of animosity between him and Richie throughout the show, Richie is very often looking to be acknowledged by Jon, yet Jon keeps looking away. Because he is clearly the man there, with his dreadful vocals. Raawnaawnaawudolph, Sčnta clause is coming to taawn...

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

I really get shocked in Bad Name, Jon stopped singing...I tought something wrong with his voice itīs gonna happen (like in Spain 96 )

Richie was kinda off the show. Looks indiferent
Checkout the beggin of Bad Name solo...

The general distraction in the middle of LH was a clue that this would be an rare/vanilla gig

Tico itīs the only one who ALWAYS neil it. What a drummer !!!!

But I canīt deny it, always itīs good see the band playing.

That would have been much the better choice, but I guess 'Sleep' could be considered more of a 'fun' choice.

Or more of an easy choice vocally. Saturday Night goes pretty high and judging by that, Jon was waaaaay off form. He was so out of breath even for the opener - I take it he's back on the fags again?

Also, anybody notice they were out of time with the backing track during 'Prayer'? It's most noticeable during the last line of the second chorus and the backstage guys must have killed it during the solo which was why the key change sounded so empty.

That wasn't just a rusty performance, it was absolutely disastrous. I cannot believe how below par they are a few months away from a full-on tour.
