I sincerely hope you're right. But it just aint gonna happen. Richie is lost and I dont think he actually knows what he wants.

Much as it's WAY overplayed, Born To Be My Baby is still a great song. Go on, stick on your copy of New Jersey. I still bet you'll be singing along in seconds

I love Born To Be My Baby, but it sounds boring as hell now. Many tours, same set list. I want changes. Richie songs took more than 14 years away.

He is 54 years old, soon 55. That is supposed to make the rest of his life? only make music with Bon Jovi?

I enjoyed watching the Tivoli clips. Much more than anything Bon Jovi related for years. It's obvious Richie doesn't want to rehearse - he wants the show to be a free flow. The songs are very improvised. That territory comes with some mistakes. I didn't hear his voice crack once. Granted, I've only watched 3-4 songs once.
Richie likes to interact with the audience, play requests, make them sing, improvise and have a good time and it seems to work, from what I've heard on the clips and seen in fotos. Over analyzing shoddy cameraphone Youtube clips isn't the way to appreciate these shows.

If it's where hes at his best, and it is for both him and Jon - whether they can ever capture the magic back on an album I don't know, but those guys can still bring it together at a show no doubt about it.

BUT Richie would need to want it, and he doesn't seem to.

Most of you guys need to go outside and get a breath of fresh air..... And then get laid.

You're like school kids.

I'm tired of the one thing that has brought us together being the thing you are constantly at each other's necks about.

I've never been called a kid and told to find sex, back to back.

It's no secret that pretty much everyone on Jovitalk who can play a bit of guitar is very much aware that Richie's not been spectacular in years, with the odd exception here and there. He's sloppy, makes plenty of mistakes, goes back to the same lick over and over again once he's slightly out of his comfort zone, and his "duet" with Oranthi proves this quite well, considering how she flat out outplays him once she gets her chance to shine.

I often wonder if people, who think that Richie is truly awesome there, listen to any other good guitar players out there, or in fact know anything about guitarwork at all. I'm a big fan of Slash, but am very much aware that all Slash does is play blues licks and hardrock riffs. He does it extremely well, but in the end it's just that. The thing is, Richie used to play all kinds of things but now you get more variety on guitar from Slash in one show than you've gotten from Richie over the past decade. That should kinda tell you how much Richie has fallen as a so called guitar God.

All Richie does now when he's let loose is overdo everything. Overdo the shredding, overdo the bending, overdo the tremolo. There's no build up to his improvising anymore. He's just there, and he goes flat out all the time and then starts making plenty of mistakes exactly because of that reason. Every riff or lick needs to be fast and hard. If that's your thing, fine, just don't get pissed when people notice it and point it out to you.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan
Blah blah blah . You talk way too much . You would be better off on the Bieber wagon . Clearly Bon jovi is not your cup of tea .
