Regardless of my feeling about going to the show, that is a horrible post from Matt. In other words, "We spent the money to get here, we don't give a shit about anyone."

And no, I won't be calling my attorney. At best, I'll get my money back from Ticketmaster, and that might even be a stretch. I don't agree with them having the show, but I'm also aware as long as there is no state of emergency at show time, they aren't breaking any laws.

Start walking now and you could get there on time...ticketmaster wont give two tosses about the snow unless the band cancel or as you say it would be illegal to travel there ticketmaster wont payout

Good point. That would make more sense. I hope you're right.

I think your failing to see the picture. The band are under contract by the venue and the promoter to play the show no matter what, so it would be their call to cancel it not the band's.

Would you cost yourself hundreds of thousands of dollars whereas if they play the show they'll get paid regardless. The bands insurance wouldn't cover them for cancelling.

Exactly. It's the bigger picture that matters, I've tried explaining this this several times now. There's many contracts involved in a show, even one in which Jon is told how long he has to be on that stage at every show. Cancelling just isn't an option unless the band have a letter from a doctor claiming one of the people under contract can't do the show. That's what the insurance covers, as illness is something a person isn't causing himself, and the doctor's note is there to proof this.

Um, what exactly are you referring to?
Whenever there's a snowstorm you can't ask for a refund from your insurance company as insurance companies rarely cover rare occurances like a snowstorm, a war, a flooding and things like this, unless, if possible, you pay an extra sum of money over you regular fee. There's just no way Ticketmaster legally has to pay out anyone when you personally can't make it to the show. You buy a ticket to a show, not a ticket including a ride to the venue etc. I don't really get why you fail to understand this.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

You guys aren't saying anything I don't already know. It's all about money. They're putting money over the safety of their fans.
