Move on brother.
A show he has been looking forward to, has paid a good amount of money to go to and will miss out through no real fault of his own.

I would be a little disappointed too!

Dude, you should see the abuse I'm taking from all the middle aged women on Facebook who are cussing me out because I think the show should be postponed. This is nothing!!!

I work in the travel industry and decisions to cancel most transport like planes, ships etc. are taken much closer to the deadline date than 24 hours in advance. Something like a concert isn't much different as so many rely on it going ahead if at all possible.
According to all sources, this is 100% up to the discretion of the performer.

I just had a look at the page and it's insane to see how many are focussed on "making it anyway". This obsessive behavior is driving me nuts. But I think we all know the intelligence of a certain percentage of female Bon Jovi fans in America isn't that high.

Down the line it is up to Jon as to whether the show should go ahead. It's just that the financial losses and everything is a bitch to deal with for everyone involved, hence decisions like these not made until a few hours before the show would take place. It's not even the financial loss for Jon himself, but catering and everyone else who are involved as well will eventually lose money over this.

Looking at the situation I do think he should postpone the show though, it's just not reasonable to ask from your audience to try to make it and go ahead and do it anyway. However, there have been various shows in the past where the advice was not to go ahead yet Jon still went on with the show. I reckon it's got something to do with a record he wants to keep. There hasn't been a show since 1995 that got postponed or cancelled.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Ironically, wasn't that Hartford as well? I had tickets to that one and it was postponed due to the lawn being torn up at the pavilion they were playing at.

Of course they shouldn't cancel. Whats the matter with people. whats happened to the old style rock and roll of getting to see your band against all odds. Do people remember the Its My Life video?

And regards to safety - people have a right in life to make an informed decision. If they choose to travel and see the band, have an accident then the blame is entirely on that person - not on the band.

And what about the thousands of locals wanting to go that have no distance to travel at all? Why should they lose out?

Play the gig, and refund people that couldn't make it as a one-off goodwill gesture. And move on. Just my opinion.

It sucks, but shit happens!

I get being a little disappointed but 10 pages about legal rights and threatening to sue ticketmaster, AEG and/or the band?

Who said anything about suing? Most I would do is try and get my money back from TM.

I can see a mass hand out of free tickets to locals if people can't travel to it. Johnny boy can't be seen to be playing in half full arenas.

Happened in 2002 at Gillette Stadium.
