Horrendous.
Ah thats quite funny (for a neutral) but I can imagine that must have been hard to swallow!

Didn't you retire a year ago and come back? Give it a rest, Erik

There were 2000 people there, not 3000..... Of those 2000 people, most if not all, had to have already been there or in the general area because the roads were closed.

And this wasn't Hurricane Sandy. It was snow. A lot of snow but something we are accustomed to. A few years ago we got blasted a few times with similar amount. The plows came out and by mid-day, the highways were fine.

And like I said prior. You can make decisions based on weather reports. As of Friday, there was practically nothing on the ground. The opposite as what was predicted. I was out at 10:00PM Friday night shoveling the inch of snow off my driveway and it wasn't even snowing anymore at that point. We got blasted during the overnight and at that point it was too late for anything.

Here is what you are missing. Not everyone drives locally. People flew in or drove a very long distance ahead of him, booked hotel rooms, took time off from work. I would also say the number was close to 2000 people. So if Jon does cancel Friday night, what do those 2000 people do? Jon would be the bad guy.

Even if Jon did make a bad decision, he is not about steeling from people. Jon does care. He is dedicated to his charity work and got very involved with the hurricane Sandy efforts. He is not about screwing people over.

Jon has been in this game for a long time and the decision that was made, good or bad, has nothing to do with financial greed.

I honestly think some people are jealous that they missed out and are not getting the same 2 for 1 deal. Those are the greedy people.
There's so much bullshit in this stupid post I don't even know where to start.

Okay, I know you're not a very bright guy, but let's try to explain meteorology to you simply, OK? Just because we didn't get much snow in New Jersey doesn't mean they didn't get a shit load of snow up in New England. This difference was forecasted all along, genius. No one ever said things we're gonna be awful down here Friday night in New Jersey (though a lot of Northern Counties did get a lot of snow, so I really don't know what the hell you're talking about, other than twisting the truth in desperate hope Jon Bon Jovi will perform fellatio on you). Again though-- because someone of your dwindled intellect seems to have trouble grasping this-- but just because the weather was tolerable here doesn't mean it was up in New England.

"Wasn't Hurricane Sandy." The **** is that supposed to mean? It was a historic blizzard that wiped out power for much of New England, nevermind closed down roads. "Similar amount???" Some places got nearly three feet! It was a rare blizzard even for New England. Get the hell out of here.

I'm sorry, I just can't stand it when people warp facts to defend something so pathetic. **** Jon Bon Jovi. he's a greedy **** who only changed this last minute in the face of mounting criticism. Anyone can see that. If you wan't a blow job from him you'll have to work harder.

Jon is giving them away as part of the Deluxe Backstage BJ Package. The clue is in the name.

That's your answer?

I'm still trying to find out what Jon did that was so wrong?

He didn't cancel right away because 2000 fans were already snowed in the building and he wanted the show to go on. According to you, the roads were closed on Friday so they couldn't leave anyway. However, after the show got cancelled he put on a free show for them. He's such a dick!!!! I can't believe he did that.

You're right though. Jon should have cancelled and got the hell out of there to spend more time with his family during a blizzard. That's what most people would have done.

He should have said to all the people who took time off of work, booked flights, and reserved hotel rooms to F off. That would have made things a lot better and made more sense.

I've already said what he did wrong. Re-read the thread.

Also, you're a fool based on your snow comment. There was over 2 feet in every area of Mass and Connecticut. But anyways, here's my reply I wrote pages back:

1.Jon should have postponed the show on Thursday, Friday at worst. He was a stubborn ass and didn't postpone it until the last possible minute.

2.The decision to postpone wasn't all Jon. In fact, most reports say it was the CEO of Mohegan Sun who got fed up with all the complaints from people that were supposed to be there or have hotel rooms and at that point, weren't going to get there money back.

3.None of this unfolded until WTNH in Connecticut and a New York TV Station started reporting on the situation and basically saying "What the **** is Bon Jovi thinking, endangering his fans?"

So, taking those things into account, is it really any surprise he did what he did? Sure, he gave those 2,000 people a free show which is great, but don't let the guy fool you. Can you imagine the backlash he would have faced from those people if he had decided to postpone and not perform at all? And I would bet my next paycheck, an agreement was worked out between the band and the casino for them to play. It kept people at the casino, and kept them happy.

It worked out awesome for the fans, no doubt. I just can't stand seeing all these morons on Facebook saying what a fantastic man he is, and that's why we love him. Had his arm not been twisted, he would have put everyone at risk of driving in one of the worst blizzards in New England's history or losing their money.

Rdkopper, anyone with half a brain knows that JBJ did the right thing in a VERY difficult situation. We all know how unpredictable the weather is as too many times it doesn't do what the professionals says its gonna do. To cancel 3 days before the gig because of a prediction is insane. What if the storm did a big shift back out to sea and dumped NOTHING?? Show cancelled for nothing.

I cannot for the life of me understand why people are trying to bring Jon down for this. I guess some people love to hate their former idol OR genuinely enjoy trolling.

Dont rise to the bait of the insults, fella. Be the better man
