Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan
I like the fact that he could pick through his guitar and deliver any one of his songs at any given time. Nice to see that his voice is still in check too

It has been reported that the idea was all Jon. The CEO might have filled the complains, whatever, but the idea of getting out and playing anyway was his.

Even if it was Jon's idea (which I doubt), what the hell was he supposed to do? Had he not been such a damn ass about it in the first place and just postponed right from the beginning, NONE of this would have happened. It wasn't until he was getting ripped a new ass on TV and social media for being a selfish dick that any of this came about.

I'm sorry all. I've defended this guy (you don't know the shit I've been put through over the past 27 years for doing so) so many goddamn times, and I'm just not buying this line that everyone else seems to be. I watched this thing unfold from Thursday afternoon right up until they hit the stage Saturday night, and there is no doubt in my mind, he was going to screw everyone out of their money if he had gotten his way and nobody had said a word. Thankfully, the news stations got wind of it and Facebook and Twitter were calling him out.

Dude, you come across as being ridiculously bitter. Long story short: It snowed like hell. Jovi didn't postpone the show as soon as they should have. A free show was played to compensate for this. A dire decision was corrected and led to a win-win situation for both the fans and the band. That's all.

Why this is being dragged out is beyond me.

First, I'm not bitter about the free show in the LEAST bit. From what I saw, it seemed like a boring show. Am I bitter? Hell yeah. I don't think it's fair for anyone else to judge what the 10,000 people who were waiting all day Friday and Saturday for an answer were feeling. Not being able to get through to the arena. Being told by Ticketmaster that even though the roads were closed, we still wouldn't be issued a refund. 2 days we put up with this BS.

Not sure how long you've been a fan, but as I said, I've defended this group to the point of getting my ass whooped for 27 years, and more to the point, I've defended Jon. Sorry if my bitching is pissing you or anyone else off. Stupid as it may sound, I feel almost betrayed. It's like being married for 25 years and thinking your wife is the best, and one day you come home to find her cheating on you. I know it sounds ridiculous, but this whole ordeal really changed my opinion on Jon and really messed with my head.

No one wants to hear about it anymore, I get it. I'll shut up about it. My problem.

Remember that time you swore that you would never see another concert at Mohegan Sun ever again after you were disappointed in getting a completely stellar set but only 20 songs? This all could have been averted if you had stayed true to your word.

Still good to see some freshness, it probably would've been smarter to debut in the European leg, where the song is more popular, despite some people here hating on it.

Are you a douche in real life too, or just on the internet?

Oh come on, you don't see how he's got a bit of a point there?

You're endlessly proclaiming on this board how "if the band do this I'm not going anymore" "If the band don't announce their show in Foxborough soon I'll miss their show because I'll be on holiday" "If the band play there I won't go" "If this setlist stays I'll get a refund" and yet as soon as the band show up near Foxborough you reschedule your holiday and buy a ticket for a show in a venue of which you know beforehand that it'll suck.

It's for this that it's a bit hard to take all your threats and bitching about the band seriously. I'm not disagreeing with what you're saying in regards to how they should've handled this and think most people agree with what you say, but would you indeed have stayed true to your word you'd not have had to experience this drama regarding the show at Mohegan Sun. It's really that simple. No one's putting a gun to your head telling you that you have to buy tickets, yet you still seem to do so.

It's for this that I don't get America die hards in general. They're fully aware on how Jon flat out refuses to throw them a bone at every show, yet many go to multiple shows and leave them thinking "Well it was alright but not what I hoped it to be". If it's rarely what you hope it to be, then why bother to begin with? It's why I stopped going to the shows in 2005 and only started going to more shows once you were guaranteed to get something good on this side of the pond. Wouldn't that have been the case there's no way I'd be going to Milan this year.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan
