How awful for Tico, he is no kid. I hope he recovers well. And also, how awful for everyone with airline tickets and hotel rooms, it's unfortunate all the way around. However, sometimes life interferes and there is nothing to be done but deal with it.

Maybe Obie will take over the drumming duties...

Guys, you gotta be sure he'll be back for Rock In Rio, or they'll just cancel this leg. Rock In Rio is something bigger.

Man, I feel for you, really do.

It's so hard to say - like Kathleen said Tico's not young anymore so whilst he's a machine, I just don't know about his recovery time - anyone know if he started suffering on the plane cause I guess they wouldn't even have taken off if his health was suspect.

There's also the mood of the band - no Riche, and at least for a few shows no Tico? Even Jon must be starting to feel like this tour is cursed.

I've read on Facebook that they did a soundcheck today, so this must've been a last minute thing.

When I had an Appendectomy back in 2011, I was on recovery almost three weeks.

I was 27 and I'm an IT Pro (computers).

Tico has nearly 60 and he's a drummer.

Goodbye South American leg, unless Tico has superpowers or the band converts itself to "Jon Bon Jovi & Friends".

Cheers.

Pretty much the last thing I was expecting to read today.... this tour is utterly cursed.

From Wikipedia;

A study from 2010 found that the average hospital stay for patients with appendicitis in the United States was 1.8 days. For patients with a perforated (ruptured) appendix, the average length of stay was 5.2 days.[6]
Recovery time from the operation varies from person to person. Some will take up to three weeks before being completely active; for others it can be a matter of days.
