that's what Im afraid....
I really thought this 21 lazy setlist in Mexico is worrying...

I hope they will do a better setlist in Brasil
At least the 24 song basis setlist back.

And why not dream of a Dry County XDDD

Ok, you hate this "vainilla" set list

But donīt forget that there are a lot of fans who donīt see YT videos of every song of every show or do the PBP, so for them this is a good set, with classic and new stuff. The most important are those people who are in the stadium, and most of those people only attend 1 or 2 shows in each tour.

The mexicans reviews are great, fans and critics really liked the show. Hope Costa Rica īll have the same luck

That's the thing really. Not knowing what's really out there makes them appreciate pretty much everything they get. Once they find out there's loads of better songs than Lost Highway, When We Were Beautiful and Work For The Working Man they'll realize how shortchanged they actually were. Once they actually become fans and know their music they'll realize that Bon Jovi won't play what they like.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

This is exactly what I tried to say in another post.

While the Mexico setlist is very vanilla and standard for many of us, for those who haven't seen the band before or in 15 years and do not have the possibility of being online and checking every single song from every concert or videos etc, seeing the band playing will be over the moon, that's what some of my friends in Argentina are feeling at the moment. I'd feel the same way if I were any of them.

exactly Van.. this is about that ...

i THINK THOUGH there are 2 levels ...
1) the fans happy with what they get because they have been so bon jovi deprieved for the last 15 years anyway (and because bon jovi is a damn good band live anything they do is GOOD

and

2) the band doing just the minimum (or not) to make those shows special to those people .. if the band plays really great shows in south america I am sure there will be also fans from else where saying NOW they better do the same for us too then ...if they do standard setLists the local fans will be happy (for most of them) and the band won't risk to be forced to do more and more for the other shows ... (the more you give the more people want)

I do think it's not as simple as it sounds for the band ... maybe because they don't play much spontaneously anymore and cannot just do a song without preparing it in advance so a wicked setlist is for them stressful to PROGRAM ....all would be fine if they didn't need to program anything and just play BY THEIR FEELINGS (BUT do they work enough together to be able to play randomly?)

But they always play better setlists in europe than in US...

I think that's because in Europe KTF and These Days were hugely successful and well received. Jon doesn't feel as secure pulling out songs from those albums in The U.S because he knows the lukewarm reception he'll get from the crowd.

Actually, 4 songs from KTF get played regularly here: KTF, Sleep, ITA and BOR. And we even got Dry County 3 times this year. These Days is the one that he really hesitates to draw from for us. <sigh> After 31 shows, I've only heard 4 tracks from it. Two of those I heard just once, and one was with Richie on vocals instead of Jon.

Have they played I Believe in The U.S since 95?

I'd love to see that.

I don't know, but I'd love to see it, too. I know the only time it was done on the LH tour was in the UK, and no one's gotten it this year. Hmm . . . time to research . . .
