Really? - I thought even the outer circle would be pretty damn close, maybe no more than 20-30 yards. Plus i'm assuming that the band walk about across the inner/outer platform?

yeh, there's plenty of room, don't worry about that. jon uses the walkway for last man standing and then (at manchester) walked around for in these arms and that was it. 30yards is probably quite accurate actually. i suppose it all depends on what you class as 'close'.

Sounds to me like i need to leave a whole lot earlier than i had planned. I'm not spending +£100 on two tickets to not see much.

it's still a great view and the sound will be a hell of a lot better there but you sacrifice being as close. the fact that it's a weekday would suggest you'll be ok for getting into the inner circle fairly late. neil arrived at manchester around 2pm and got in the inner circle and that was at a huge gig on a sunday.

weather looks good for Friday in Southampton(BBC website), what are people planning to wear? are you taking a coat/bag?

Every other shows looks like dry countys being played so southampton people may be in for dry county and 2nd nighters at mk look like they're in for dry county also, will be at the show but not arsed if they play it or not.

i think it is just one of those songs (dry county) with the wow factor and the fact that they have not played (apart from this tour) in ten years means that alot of people will not of seen it live. plus it has a great solo with room for lots of mprovisation. i havent seen it and have always felt they had missed out an important song from their collection.
