Can't remember any obvious improvised keyboard parts but he was dancing like a maniac (LOVE it!), connecting with the crowd more even from back where he's situated (signs, extra smiles, nods, whatnot) and some highlighted wee lines that he was singing. Just more focus on him in general. It might of course be as suggested, that it's becuase Richie's "antics" are missing, and they need another strong personality to come forward, but either way he seemed to enjoy himself and I for one was really happy to see him getting some well deserved attention.

Yes, I've always thought Jon controlled the stage too much; I think Jon should let the band be rockers like in the old days. For instance, PhilX looks wonderfully animated and happy on stage but it seems that one of his signature moves (slinging a guitar around his back, catching it and continuing to play) is missing. It was there last tour but hasn't been commented on this tour. Has it been done or has perhaps Jon told him not to do it?

Not last night anyway. He had a nice connection with the crowd, but no tricks. Just rocking out and smiling in general.

Blood On Blood. Love the acoustic opening.

The acoustic opening is my favorite on this song.

Why is Jon breathing so weird during the acoustic part? Is this this show that was particularly cold? He's taking such big breaths. Sounds like he's gasping for air.

Maybe it's psychosomatic...

It doesn't sound that different from the MSG DVD. It's the electric part of the song is where he's almost dying. When he quit smoking in 2010, I don't know how long that lasted, but it's safe to say watching this he's still a smoker. He probably smokes even more with the Richie situation stress. Would make sense, cause he sounds even worse than he did in the first leg of the tour.

On a positive note, Bobby sounds great! His voice completely makes up for Richie's absence during the acoustic intro's "one for one" parts in the bridge. Even Richie sings it lower nowadays, while Bobby hits Richie's old high notes! He should be singing more of Richie's parts instead of Phil X.

Yeah I have to give Bobby one thing, he has a brilliant voice. The few times Ive watched videos of him singing solo, he's actually blown me away. HOWEVER, his orgasm faces while playing those one note solos, looking like they're such an accomplishment, are just.... No.
But that's obviously nothing new.
