I also had very low expectations. That, combined with the fact that I haven't been listening to BJ at all lately, made me pleasantly surprised and I actually really enjoyed the show.
I missed Richie, yes, but it didn't destroy the experience for me. The setlist was definitely crappy and as I can only compare it with Hyde Park 2011 I knew it would be criticized, but I remember thinking to myself "Yes, these are the ordinary songs - but hey,
they still are good songs". Well, most of them. It also kind of made me realize I like Bon Jovi a lot more live than in my headphones, unfortunately.. And yeah, as said before, David was on fire!
I was front row in GC in the middle (had Jon just a few metres away and said hello to David Bergman

) and the atmosphere were good. I made friends with some people and stayed in the same hotel as many who were at the show and it really seemed like everyone enjoyed it a lot.
Maybe it's because I haven't been to enough shows to be critical, maybe it did suck and I didn't notice, or maybe you just had to be there..

Maybe it's not always about the setlist, I don't know. I'm still very glad I went there and had a good time and I know the same goes for many others.
