Someone who attended the rehearsal said that the three songs they are doing tomorrow are It's My Life, HAND, and Who Says. But come on I wasn't really expecting anything different~ everytime they do a TV appearance it's always the same damn songs.

Night #2 had a lot of changes from Night #1

From what I can remember tonight's changes were as follows~

~Just Older~
~I Want To Be Loved~
~Always~
~Last Cigarette~
~Everyday~
~Welcome to Wherever You Are~
Thanks Lizz, you summed it up. I had a crap connection tonight and lost the call quite a few times but, hey, at least, I got a call. No, Complicated or Novacaine tonight. Three of my favorites were played tonight though, Always, Welcome and Last Cigarette! YAY!!

And as far as the NASCAR thing. It's TV, they have to play HITS as well as promote the new record, so like you Lizz, I'm not surprised by the chosen songs.

Sometimes they play "Bad Name".

They ALWAYS play Bad Name at this type of event. It's so predictable and it's not even performed well in my opinion.
I've always thought it sounded really average live!

the news about jennifer playing on the daytona 500 is true....i checked out sugarland's website and they had news on it....it's my life is played a whole lot, but sometimes, it never gets boring or annoying...it's a fun song and the "producers" of the race want good fast songs played, not ballads.

Bringing us back to topic here....last night was good. The setlist was not as good as the first night for me, but some things were much better. My seats were simply incredible. I took a chance and bought tickets off Ebay from a broker. I paid dearly, but woah, what a reward I got! I was on the first level, first section in front of the stage, Richie's side, third row, aisle seats...Jon on the catwalk was within 5 feet of me! Ahhhh....it was worth every penny. I got a lot of great pictures, I'll post some later. OK, now that my Backstage moment is over, lets get on to the good stuff.

Jennifer Nettles for Who Says...not as good as in Atlanta, but I like the song with her better than the band alone, which is what we got on Friday.

I Want to Be Loved...it was a bit slow...I kept wanting them to pick it up a little...guitar at the beginning was a little off too, but once they got into it, I was happy. Becky and I had talked about this song before the show and we were hoping to hear it! Yeah for us!

Always instead of BoR....YEAH!!! I had said to Mike as Blaze was ending "I hope they play Always!"...and five seconds later it happened! I felt like I was on a roll hoping for songs. Mike didn't like it, he said it was too slow...I tried explaining it was the TLFR version, but seeing as how he's never listened to that album, he had no clue what I was referring to. LOL.

When Last Cigarette started during the encore, I actually for a split second thought it was Keep the Faith. I heard the bass line coming in and really thought it was going to be KTF, but alas, only Last Cigarette. I thought my prediction streak was going to keep going. Luckily for me, I like the song better live than I do on the album.

Richie did IBTFY again last night...I love hearing him sing, but I was really hoping for the duet version since we had gotten Richie solo the night before.

Everyday...ehhh...if I have to hear a song off of Bounce, I guess that's the best choice since I know they won't be doing The Distance. Would have rather heard KTF or Damned.

Very happy to have Just Older back and Welcome...they are both two of my favorites!

Overall, I enjoyed the show incredibly. It's Bon Jovi, even a bad setlist can't stop them from putting on a great show. Let me rephrase that...a predictable set list can't stop them from putting on a great show! I had made a sign saying "PLEASE PLAY SOMETHING FROM THESE DAYS!" and forgot it! We went to dinner at my aunt's house before the show and I left it there...grrr....

It's my life was a huge hit for them, so it makes sense for promotion type of thing, the average Nascar viewer might go,"Hey It's those guys who sang It's my life a couple of years back, and hey they also do that Have a Nice Day song, I thought they sounded kind of alike!!, and hey they also have a country duet with that chick from that other country trio that's not the Dixie Chicks!! I guess I might buy the record?
Maybe?? I'll just download the songs whatever"

see, it all works out.
