Those 3 are obviously appearing for the short-term, so I can't get too excited about them. Regarding the first 2, no clue why they'd rather do those 2 than some of their own fine stuff . . . or why they think that's what we'd prefer to hear them do!
Sorry to go slightly off topic but what is this about the HOF?

Encore's a bit weak. I get the Dave Clark cover, since they were elected to the HOF yesterday, but five straight covers to end the night is moronic.
Here's the HOF explanation.

It's almost like Jon has forgotten how many great songs of their own they have which could be played, and instead he's trying to think up more & more covers!
True as much as he has forgotten how to write a good song!

Yes, it was acoustic.

Not to mention that the crowd was LOUD! But then again, that's part of the Bon Jovi experience I guess. Kind of lost my voice now.

I shot some videos with the camera, so if I have time I'll upload them to Youtube.
Where were you sitting? I was on the floor in the 8th row and the sound was good for me. Yes, the crowd was VERY loud. I actually had two girls in my row, age 25, that didn't have a clue about the songs if they weren't on the Crossroads cd (they actually said that).

I loved hearing DR and it lends itself to being played on the small platform as it keeps the song intimate. I'm also glad (even though it was done in Calgary) that MT was played again as I'd never heard it live.

Jon dedicated Wanted to Bruce Fairburn and talked about making SWW in Vancouver and how after doing Wanted in the studio the first time, Bruce, told them it sucked and they needed to go out and have a few drinks (Jon said they went to a bar that served really good Margaritas) and come back and try it again and that's what they did.

Jon did talk about the Dave Clark Five getting nominated for the RnR HOF so doing Glad All Over was an homage to them.

We'll see what round 2 brings.

Here's part of Diamond Ring from last night:

Not the best video, but good enough for me to tell that I hope I get to hear this next year.

Yeah, that was shot by me. I only filmed short clips as my camera only can record for a certain amount of time. That andI didn't want it to get confiscated/me thrown out. Just a memory.

Well thanks so much for posting it! I've been searching for Diamond Ring in Calgary . . . never expecting the Vancouver version to be there yet. I've always loved the guitar in that song.

Too bad about them trying to keep folks from filming. It always seems to me that ought to be a BAND decision, not a venue decision.

Thanks again!

P.S. I posted the link to the Diamond Ring thread on Backstage. No one had found video of it yet. We're in your debt!
