Hence why I only get GA these days.

Bounce tour was last time I was in the FC cos I could get front row with a GA ticket. The whole gold circle thing p'd me off.

But if you went to the last tour - surely you should have guessed it was going to be the same? Front pit has always been for fan club members.

I managed to get front pit for the Hull show in 2005 but there was still loads of room for more peeps and they ended up selling GA tickets on the day for just £25 and no booking fees from the stadium box office.

If the FC members are the only ones getting in the huge front pit this time round, I'm gonna be livid cos that's just a joke. I hate how corporate the live music industry is (and the music industry in general). Concerts should be about music-lovers and fans with the biggest passion for the music - not the largest wallets! Shame we don't live in an ideal world though eh...

I've got GC for 2 concerts and of course I want to get to the front, but my thinking is that as soon as the band get on stage, you won't care where you are, you'll just be grateful that you're there and you got tickets.

They sell approx 400 tix to fc and then there's fc members with "ordinary" gc tix that are first let into GC1 if it's not full after that they fill it up with non fc-members with GC and then start filling G2 just as last time.

Yeah, which is a fair enough way to do it. I mean, I'd prefer to be able to get in the front pit too, of course I would, but at the end of the day, you're in A Gold Circle, so the ticket isn't misleading

GC tickets are too expensive though, they should only be about £10 more than GA IMO

I will be very pissed off if when i get to Twickenham I find i am in the 2nd Gold circle.Thats just totally missleading. Why call soemthing Gold Circle when it blatantly is not. They could have said from day 1 Gold circle= Certain Price and then had a silver Circle=a certain price.
What happens if you have bought 3 GC tickets from Ticket outlet and you are a Fan club member and the other 2 in your party are not. Will this mean you and only You will be allowed into the "first "gold circle"...
Gold Circle should mean Gold Circle the earlier you get there the better position you get like it is with most other events.Fan club members should be entitled to early entry thats fair enough and should be given a time frame to be there from. And after that time frame has elapsed anybody else with GC tickets should be allowed to enter.
Ok end of my rant but first its called GOLD CIRCLE NOT GOLD CIRCLES.....
(but as it really is ony a semi circle then 2 of them makes a full circle)

Of course it's mis-leading. Honesty would have cost them nothing.

I don't believe that anywhere there is an actual dictionary definition of Gold Circle as "the pit right in front of the stage". The idea is that it's just a section in front of the GA section .... which indeed it is. Hell, with just a turn of phrasing you could stop referring to them as GC1, GC2 and GA; and instead refer to them as Fan Club Pit, GC, GA; and then there is no problem

As I said, don't get me wrong, I would love there to be just one Gold Circle, and for it to only contain say a quarter of the audience, rather than about half by the looks of the webcam pictures. But I don't believe that anyone was actually told that this would be the case

And while I don't believe that anyone was actually reasonably mislead here, I do think that the BJ ticketing system is far too convoluted in general. To have a chance of being in the first few rows, you need to be 1) be a fanclub member, 2) buy your tickets from Backstage, 3) buy a GC ticket, 4) be allocated a low number in that thoroughly bizarre Backstage numbering system. That's far more variables than is necessary IMO

If only you were right (and I mean that in despair of Bon Jovi. Not calling you thick.)

But here is the seating chart right off ticketmaster for the twickenham show:
