What's the acoustic hate thing????

Why is it bad?

It's different alright, but different may very well be fantastic.

Queensryche did a 100% acoustic set and I loved every minute of it - they still rocked the shit out of the crowd!

I'd prefer a half/half show over the same old same old any day.

If I queue up for 5 hours, standing the entire time, then stand in the one place waiting for the support act, then the wait to Bon Jovi, it usually means I've stood up for about 8 hours straight before Bon Jovi. That's grand for a full electric show because you're bouncing around and there's lots of energy. You don't see many people doing that at an accoustic show, so yeah there's no way I'd wanna stand for another 2 and a half hours to see them play accoustic.

It's different in Europe, we don't have reserved seats on the ground which means you can't show up 5 minutes befor the gig.

Oh, poor baby. Some of us have qued for 24 hours to get to the front row. And you can't sit down in the front row.

As to Jons voice, I don't care if he was taking steroid shots in the 80s or not, but he sounded a lot better back then. Maybe it was because he was in pain, at least there was a feeling in his voice. Now he's just auto-piloting through the show.

back in the 80's jon had big problems with his voice cause he couldn't really sing and he had to do that every single day full power- and together with all that alcohol the consumed it got worse and worse so that richie and dave had to fill in for him some parts. but that wasn't the best solution so they got a doctor to give him steroid (e.g. cortison) shots every showday before the concerts. meaning that guy stuck a needle in jons throat and injected him the steroids. the thing is that steroids don't only have an anti-inflammatory effect but the also cause diabetes, athersclerosis, polyglobulia, renal insuffience, gastric ulcers, they destroy your skin and makes every bacteria party in your body cause they augmount the infection risk.
so if jon really cared about his fans he sure would do that (danger: sarcasm) maybe we should show danfanhow enourmosly funny this is. and we could do that every single day before a bj show then he'd have to run and sing for about 3hours followed by getting totally wasted. then we could wake him up early cause there's travelling and press shit, followed by a steroid shot in the throat followed by 3 hours of running and singing.....

I would LOVE to see the acoustic shows! One of the best shows I ever saw was Jon solo/acoustic.

Becky
Might have been in pain, but he sounded damn good in pain those days.
