Question Opening act?

Has anyone heard if they are touring with anyone else? Opening act? The GooGoo Dolls were with them last time but have nothing about this tour.

So far at least for the first leg of the US tour they are having local radio stations run a contest for local and area bands where there are going to be shows and one of them is being chosen to open the show in their area, plus the will get a chance later to audition to open for BJ at Giants next summer. No "name acts" on this leg anyway.

Whenever I see Dream Theater these days they do 2 sets with an intermission and no support act. The show usually lasts about three and a half hours. Wouldn't it be great if Bon Jovi could do the same. I know they're a bit older than the guys in DT but the music is nowhere near is complex or demanding physically and also I saw Rush do the same recently aswell who are older than Bon Jovi, they were incredible. On the Bounce tour at Old Trafford we only got about 2 hours and most of that wasn't great. I think Jon was struggling a little with his voice, Richie totally blew him away on IBTFY.

it was about 2 and a half hours, if i remember rightly. there is no way a band such as bon jovi could have an intermission. the whole excitement behind the gigs is the energy which builds to a frenzy. the majority of dream theatre fans aren't the sort of people you'd see screaming 'waaaaanted' at a bon jovi gig.

If Jon couldn't handle 2 hours, I doubt he could handle 3 and a half. It'd be killer tho.

I could care less who opens.. that is not who i am there to see. Would be cool if I saw someone i liked but uaully Bon Jovi has very shitty bands open (anyone in the US remember Bad Biscuit from 1995 - horrendous!)so I just get my camera ready and hit the merchandise stands during the openers. Then I usually look at my watch and count the minutes til the real BAND comes out!

(cue me on the big screen) JBJ: "How good have you been? Oh My God!" (laughs, more teasing) JBJ: "You want it huh, you want it huh? Blood on Blood just for you, the good girl in the front row? The all request hour, the girl in the front row has just asked for Blood on Blood, ok, Merry Christmas young lady!" Amazing <3
