Opening With LMS

I think that in 1996 bad medicine was a nice 2nd song to be played. At least they took it away from the end of the main set and detatched shout from it. They did play gloria at the end of medicine in some shows and i guess it was pretty good.

In the latter part of the 1995 tour they played Hey god as the 2nd song (right after Helter Skelter or Rockin in the free world), and i think it was great, since it's an awsome rock album track from TD.

I think SOML, like u guys sayed, would be a great 2nd song. last cigarette, novocaine or complicated would be nice too, since i feel those 3 + SOML keep the album's up tempo.

I hope this week they'll rehearse more songs from HAND, apart from LMS, HAND and WSYCGH; so that they can play at least 5 in the opening night.

Great ideas! I guess you're right about LMS, they have to open with a new track and this is as good as any to start with. you're house lights idea is good, U2 also did it and it worked (I had't even noticed they were still on at the time, but it made that much more impact). SOML as second is also a good idea, it makes people think, hey what song is this? sounds and feels good. I like them to play 8 songs each night from the new album. People should know this album kicks ass. SOML could also work at the end of the main set, with sleep and raise your hands. OLC could also work there,more so than in the beginning, so I would place it at the end Shame there's a musical intro lacking, because of the impact the songs should have by then. And let's face it, Jon singing with quiet drums will NOT make an impact anymore

I Am could fit anywhere as could I Wanna Be Loved. Have a Nice Day will probably be placed in the range of 5th to 10th song, as was It's My Life back in the crush tour. I'm hoping for some vocal things in between songs. I bought a Michael jackson live dvd yesterday and he also did it and it's fun. Jon also did it on the jersey tour. It has this "live" feeling. And I have a feeling they're gonna mix some stuff up this tour. Make it more retro somewhat while making use of new technologies. Still hoping for pyro and stuff BTW...

Novocaine will probably be placed at the beginning of the ending set, after blowing into something fast or mostly unknown I hope... like tokyo road, GGDAWW, radio saved my life, dirty little secret, neurotica, fear (bet we won't see all of these..).

Complicated could be played in the middle, same place as HAND, Who Says and Bells of Freedom (Or Welcome... here's hoping they don't play many of the soft songs..).
