I never go to see some band just because of voice and good singing, for me it is the whole thing-songs that I like, band playing, audience involving and singing.Jon is still far from complete voice shot,he can do it. I respect them a lot,and when they stop playing I wont be harsh on them, just big thank you for music for my soul.

Yup - going to Newark, Mohegan Sun and MSG night 2. I would have gone to MSG night 1 also but I have Bruce on Broadway tickets and I will be there

*If* I had to go to a BJ show now I'd have a good time, no doubt about it. Like many of you here, I'd go with friends and just have a blast. We'd dance, laugh, drink and sing at the top of our lungs. My friends don't care about BJ, they are less than casuals. The agreement is they drag me to their shows, I do the same with BJ shows and everybody loves to sing the hits. The fact that we are there to simply have fun makes me blissfully ignorant while the show is on. Well not ignorant (My ears work perfectly) but... willing to tune out. But I don't see that happening now. I'd be cringing (natural reaction) but also hating that this is how this band is going to end their career.

But I envy you, there's no closeness to my friends because of a band, no memories attached to a show or an era. It is really beautiful that you can experience that, and I'm saying this honestly.

Just retire Bad Medicine. Yes, most people know it and can sing along. But it’s not must-play like Wanted and Prayer. There are plenty of songs he still sings better than this.

I think one reason my loyalty to Bon Jovi lies so deep is the common thread they have been in so many of my relationships, both at home and far away. One of my BFFs was a new student at our school in 1989 and the first thing we ever did together was go to our first Bon Jovi concert together, along with my life long BFF. This same friend and I have been to several shows together and took her youngest daughter to her first show last year (and she loved it). So, we really are raising new generations of fans, well some of us are. I have no intentions of having children, but I will happily “corrupt” other people’s children.

I’ve met several pen pal or online friends that became real life friends. I hope to meet Deb in New Orleans. I assessed a child and the mother saw my picture of me and Jon in my office and we’ve been going to various shows together for like 15 years or so. We immediately became friends because we shared a passion for Bon Jovi.

My life would look very different without this band. Maybe better, maybe worse. I’m in for the long haul, that’s for sure.
