Don't know about that or if it's different now that he's officially in the band. It definitely was the case back in 2015 or 2016 when he was at a German music event and him and some other musicians were discussing a spontaneous jamming concert. That's when he told them that he can't play Jovi songs or "someone would get pretty pissed".

I remember Phil X saying he doesn't play Bon Jovi songs without Bon Jovi 'cause he didn't write them and he didn't record them.

Yeah, that's what I heard. Not that it was down to a contract.

As I said, in June, he definitely played Living On A Prayer.
