As musicians, they still sound pretty good live. As a vocalist, yes Jon struggles but he isn't 20, 30, or 40 years old anymore either. Just because you all let social media ruin set-lists, doesn't mean you can't enjoy the same show twice live. Going to a Stadium show in Jersey and then seeing an Arena show in Philly 4 months later are 2 different experiences. If you look at set-lists from the 80's, they have been repeated several times over but social media didn't exist for everyone to rip apart.

Philly is a great town with great energy and great acoustics. Spending a hundred bucks on a concert is not a lot of money especially compared to some of the prices I hear that people pay for these pit seats.

You don't have to go to a expensive restaurant every night with great food to have a good time. Getting together with good friends, enjoying some drinks, partying, while soaking up the atmosphere could be equally fun at half the cost.

Bon Jovi in 2013 are just a great cover band of their old material and you are not going to get anything better. They have some of the best classic songs ever so I'll take the best I could get which is seeing them live. Get it?

I really don't know what there is to "not get." I went to two shows this tour and had a great time and a lot of fun at both and know a lot of other people who did, which is what a concert experience should be.

That's the be all and end all of it.

The band deserve criticism where criticism is due (and absolutely there's been a lot of it this tour - but I think the Richie situation just kinda put the nail in the coffin before it had a chance to really get going) but sometimes you make it sound like going to a Bon Jovi concert will be the most miserable experience of someones life.

I think people who clearly have no interest in Bon Jovi anymore really need to stop worrying what the band is doing. I often value your insights Seb, whether I agree with them or not, but if it really is that bad surely you have better things to be doing?

Just to be clear, I don't mean "get off the board, you're not being nice to our band" as we're a community here (albiet sometimes a heavily dysfunctional one) but if you're here for nostalgia why not talk about nostalgia?

According to Seb, the European way of enjoying a concert is by focusing 100% of your attention on the band and only the band. Partying and having a good time with friends is not allowed. It's actually rude and inconsiderate to the band and fellow fans in attendance. If you have to go to the bathroom during the show, you have to hold it in until the end or bring an empty cup. No one will notice because they will be focused on the show anyway.

Yeah, but the thing is your idea of partying at a show and mine are completely different too. I go, I sing, I dance, I bounce and I love every minute without overanalysing it, but why the hell would I want to go to the bathroom or get a beer when my favourite band are on stage?

If you have to go to the bathroom, then you have to go to the bathroom. 3 hours is a long time to hold it especially if you are drinking so there really isn't much of a choice if you have to go.

As far as the beers go, I'll have 2 or 3. At 10 bucks a pop, that's all I'll have even if I want more. I'll usually get one before the start which means, I'll have to leave my seat (or our seats) twice during the show. I'll coordinate my piss breaks and beer getting together. If you go during a popular song that you're really not that into, like Born To Be My Baby, you could be back before the song ends. That includes washing your hands too. If you wait until a song like Capt Crash, you'll miss the next 3.

Why do you think Jon plays those blocks of easy vocal boring songs? He's not stupid. They are put there to give people a break. He's there to sell t-shirts and all that over priced junk. He wants you out on that floor checking it all out.
