That it is, the fact that most of the time he doesnt even try....I downloaded a version of In these arms from rather recently and it was so horrible with him not even coming close to hiting the notes, it made me NOT want to here the song live just cause he would butcher it.

I was shocked that they even attempted to do "Always" last night especially that late in the set. After all the tour has been going for a while and his voice has to be worn by now. Also everyone knows how dry it is here and singing in Phoenix more difficult than most cities. You could tell that from the first chorus that he wasn't too sure of himself. During the guitar solo he was back at the drum riser rubbing his throat and sipping on something. Richie actually helped him sing on parts that I don't recall him singing on before. At the end Richie was just jamming away with Jon back at the drum riser looking disgusted with himself and once the music stopped, David looked up at Jon expecting to start the slow chorus ending. Jon looked at Bryan and give him a look like "don't even bother" and they moved right into Capt Crash. I was really hoping to hear the extra live lines (through the wind through the snow through the driving ran I'll crawl all the way home) which he didn't even bother to try. That was the only bad song of the night.

In Nashville, Jon hit all the high notes on Always and should have sung I'll Be There For You. Richie doesn't do the scream.. (or he didn't when I saw them in Nashville) ..

Jon did an incredibly long and high pitched scream, more than proving that he could do so on I'll Be There For You. Also, he hit high notes on the other songs too.

If they make another dvd, I hope it's from the Nashville Show. The band just performed so greatly.

The setlists lately aren't so brilliant.. But then again, I like all the songs that they're playing..and I'd just be glad to be there.

It changed a tad from Japan to the US, maybe they'll pull a few more changes for Europe.......though I think the rest of the US tour will have to be resigned to what is being played now. Predictable maybe, but the average concert goer would really enjoy that show, I guess that's one angle they have covered.

it would be nice if the band did what joe satriani, Y&T and the Stones did in 1997 which is to let the fans contribute to the setlists...

even if this is like the RS, just restricted to maybe 1 or 2 songs a night that might be out of the normal pecking order
