Working for a bookies, I would disagree as its the same as when I have a punter back a horse at 5/1, and then later on it wins at 20/1 say. The price was the correct price at the time the bet was struck, that it quadrupled in price later was irrelevent.
The same with the prices, people were aware with what they were and it was personal discretion whether it was worth it or not. Although the late drops havent happened much in the past, this is what has caught people out. Previously we have all been used to having to log on at 9am on the day of sale and get the tickets or they sell out. Now, there is a bigger window of opportunity so we need to be aware with this next tour that day 1 sales are not the be all and end all. The concert ticket selling model has had to change somewhat with the changing times.
