4 tickets promptly booked for next Friday.
Kids are alread off school that day, so instead of a trip to Legoland, it's a trip to the O2!

seems to happen a lot at the o2/ticketmaster a friend of mine got an Email from ticketmaster giving Aerosmith tickets at the o2 for £10.00!!! and yet i couldn't get tickets last week because ticketmaster said it had sold out?????????? I had tickets on the 13th June in block 103!! we had a pretty good view of the stage and the band etc, so if you can get them in that block for £5.00 thats a very good deal

Well well well...... "There goes the neighbourhood"? More like "There goes the profit margin"

Oh how I wish they would have done a prince and charged £30 for every ticket. Every night would have sold out and the crowds would have been far better.

Greedy bastards.

Well I caved in again (God I am such a Jovi slag)

Got tickets for this Sunday in Block A3 (Row B). My long suffering husband will be accompanying me (Bah - he LOVES it really) and enduring fever pitch excitement for the next 4 days.

Show 3 will be on 23rd when I am taking my lovely 12 year old daughter to her first ever Jovi show (as a reward for her superb school report). She is hopping around the house with excitement. Much like her mother.....

Nice one on the seats for Sunday - there are only 5/6 seats in that row!
Take a look at the pics that are in the 13th June review thread for evidence.

I'm sure if there were enough of us complaining, we could get something done.

I complained to Ticketmaster & AEG back in 2008 about the ticketing for Twickenham. We paid £85 for the "Gold Seats", but when we got there they were actually the worst seats in the whole stadium.
Fortunately we managed to get moved down onto the pitch - but those tickets were only £45 so I wanted a refund.

Needless to say neither TM or AEG wanted to take any responsibility.

Think I will get onto Customer Services later today.....

If I buy a flight ticket I may find that they reduce the prices nearer the time…I cant get a refund on my ticket.
If I buy a non refundable hotel room and then look next week and they have lowered the price I cannot get a refund.
No offence but it is ridiculous to say that you expect Watchdog to look at this.

To be honest - I now can see the two sides to it.
I'm more annoyed that I only booked my tickets on Sunday, then by Tuesday they were half price. If I'd booked them 4 months ago I wouldn't be so annoyed.

However, thanks to the £5 ticket offer for the 25th I'm not quite so annoyed as I'm getting a bargain of 4 tickets for less than half the price of one ticket (they were £75 each).

The problem is that AEG are now becoming notoriously bad with ticket allocation.
For the Bounce and Lost Highway tours, they sold "Gold" seats, which were advertised as being the best seats available (other than the pit obviously).
Twice we bought these tickets, firstly at Wolverhampton then at Twickenham.
At Wolverhampton, the Gold Seats were so bad that you could only see Richie and Jon because the stage set-up obstructed everything else.
Likewise with Twickenham in 2008.

We asked for refunds or apologies afterwards and didn't even get a reply!

I agree that it is annoying especially as I paid over £100 for 2 Tier 4 seats. However, everybody did say that this would happen. There was no way that they were going to sell out all these shows at these prices (over £200 for A block may sell on 1 night but not over so many dates). Scary that they semi announced a few dates in July before retracting them.
Just look at it this way…
I would rather others joined me at reduced prices than find that the o2 is half empty.
We may get a lot of hardcore in on the 26th (people want to see the last show) so it could be a great date (shame England may be playing).
You can see them again cheaply (you couldn’t if they refused to change prices)
It screws over touts who bought tickets looking for a profit
It may stop AEG from trying something so silly again next time. (I think the whole Michael Jackson is the real catalyst for this shambles tbh).
