However, thanks to the £5 ticket offer for the 25th I'm not quite so annoyed as I'm getting a bargain of 4 tickets for less than half the price of one ticket (they were £75 each).

The problem is that AEG are now becoming notoriously bad with ticket allocation.
For the Bounce and Lost Highway tours, they sold "Gold" seats, which were advertised as being the best seats available (other than the pit obviously).
Twice we bought these tickets, firstly at Wolverhampton then at Twickenham.
At Wolverhampton, the Gold Seats were so bad that you could only see Richie and Jon because the stage set-up obstructed everything else.
Likewise with Twickenham in 2008.

We asked for refunds or apologies afterwards and didn't even get a reply!
Someone I know already complained with TM but they basically said it is not their fault, it is AEG's as we know.

I am definitely going to try and send a nasty complain. I don't know I will get anything in return but I will take it out of my chest.

Hopefully this will make AEG (and others like Evil Nation) look at what is going on as far as ticket prices are concerned. Shame for those who bought early, glad I held on (though there are probably 2 artists for whom I might have buckled and paid up as well). At least this proves that while a handful of people are willing to pay absurd money for tickets the vast majority won't - AEG (and all promoters) seem to think that if just one person is willing to pay £400+ for a pit ticket then everyone should be willing to pay that. Very glad they had to lower the prices - as and when Jovi hit the UK again will be interesting to see how many people pay up and how many just decide to wait it out for cheaper tickets.

Just think, had they set the top priced seat at (say) £60, made the floor GA for £50 with 1st come 1st served into the pit (with a small handful of hot ticket early entries) then probably every night would have full to the rafters garnering much more positive publicity. Prince set a fabulous precedent with his O2 residency, others should take note of how he did it.
