A lot of bands have taken to opening their shows with the first single of their latest release (U2, AC/DC), but Bon Jovi hasn't taken this route yet.

Unlike most people here, I really think WWBTF would work great as an opener so we shall see......

Question Opening song for The Circle Tour

I thought Lost Highway didn't work at all as an opener and I'm sick of Living on a Prayer opening a show. I really liked Last Man Standing but they won't use it this time around. Based on what the band has done in the past it will likely be something off the new album. I'm hoping it is not WWBTF, as it has pretty much tanked as a single. An unusual but interesting choice might be WWWB. I think this song, although not the upbeat rock song usually used for opening a show, could have some promise if its done in the right way. I also think a song like brokenpromiseland (with an extended intro) could be a good opener, however, I doubt they would ever use it. I also wouldn't mind seeing a return to LYHOM.

What bothers me the most is seeing them open the show with something like Glad All Over. With such a large catalog of songs to choose from, I could never understand why they would they choose a cover song. Anyway, any other guesses as to what they will open with on this tour?

It'll probably WWBTF. Not my first choice... but what else is there?

Opening with a cover song is not bad per se. "Helter Skelter" worked so well in 1996 that I played it with my own band as an opener. "Rocking In The Free World" is also great, would love to hear it. It depends on the song.

I think the perfect concert opener would be the combination of Happy Now followed by WWBTF. That'd have the crowd going..

We Weren't Born To Follow will probably open, but I'd prefer Love's The Only Rule.

Plus it'll probably sound better going from Follow into Bad Name/Born To Be My Baby than any other song of the album would do.
I agree. My 'dream' setlist of this tour:

1. We Weren't Born To Follow
2. Born To Be My Baby
3. Wild In The Streets
4. Runaway
5. Love's The Only Rule
6. I'll Be There For You
7. Lost Highway
8. Thorn On My Side
9. In These Arms
10. Everyday
11. Happy Now
12. You Give Love A Bad Name
13. In And Out Of Love
14. It's My Life
15. Bullet
16. Always
17. Have A Nice Day
18. Bad Medicine
19. Keep The Faith
20. Livin' On A Prayer

Encore 1
21. These Days
22. Blood On Blood
23. Wanted Dead Or Alive

Encore 2
24. Who Says You Can't Go Home
25. Someday I'll Be Saturday Night
