Actually if you listen to the interview Jon never blamed his poor performance on hayever at Hull. He simply said, "probably not my best performance" and that was it. He said nothing else about it.

Coventry is the gig he was talkiing about with the hayfever and the medicine.

Because the Coventry gig was so good it wouldn't have made a difference if Jon said he was suffering with hayfever or not. None of us could tell he was feeling unwell - his singing was as good as ever and he was full of energy. He just happened to mention he was feeling unwell but it certainly didn't effect his performance and he didn't need to make any excuses or apologise for himself

I know he talked about Coventry specifically and the hayfever problem but I thought he was talking about the tour as a whole too. When he said "they gave me medication which put me on a downer" he then mentioned Hull. Who knows anyway I dount we'll ever find out what was really behind last Tuesday, unless in maybe a few years he does a warts and all Bio!!!

... Ah good, I'm not going crazy. He did say that the medication was a factor in the Hull performance then!?

Not specifically, he mentioned for Coventry he was ill with the hayfever. But the DJ asked about the whole UK tour and he thats when he went on to say that Hulkl wasnt his best performance. I intereperated that as him saying the Hayfever affected him throughout the tour.

Oh, right. I could do with hearing it for myself, actually.

i seriously doubt it.

they have very little in the way of bevvy on their tour riders i've seen and i;ve been told be various people i know personally that have worked with them through the years in some capacity that crew etc... aren't allowed to drink so i doubt they had any sort of mad parties to the point where they'd still be feeling rough at 8 o clock the next night.
