Jon Bon Jovi and his band held their second and final rehearsal at the Prudential Center Tuesday afternoon in preparation for a 10-date run, which begins Thursday night, at the new arena.

Among the songs the group performed live Tuesday were “Bells of Freedom,” “Wild is the Wind,” “I’ll Be There For You,” “Lay Your Hands on Me,” “Welcome to Wherever You Are,” and “Open All Night.” He said the band has a list of 73 songs that it will mix and match during the course of these 10 shows.

The group practiced for more than an hour before taking a break to meet with arena construction workers. The Jersey native acknowledged putting an arena in Newark is “a risk,” but he believes it is a risk that will pay dividends for the city.
