Rarest Live Songs

I love DLS, It would work great live, have the crowd sing the 'Dirty Little Secret' part and it could be the next It's My Life. It's got a great chorus and a nice rhythm. It should replace track #6 on HAND

all right do we need to have someone log into the fan club and ask - someone must so someone who was there for us completists

maybe they played a little teaser or something if they played it for real that would be shockingly AWESOME!!

as long as we are speaking of great HAND session songs - Nothing totally rocks - i still cant believe that is in the vault and been given away....

You and I both know that wouldn't work. Crowd participation is easy with songs everyone knows, but a b-side would shut the audience up no matter how much it rocked. But it wouldn't because the song is very mediocre.

Eh, I've never really cared for any of the HAND outtakes. I think they get a tad overblown around here. Only songs on the record they could honestly replace are Wildflower and maybe Bells of Freedom.

it was played like 10 seconds of the song a not at all 'special part of it and you could understand that Jon didn't WANT to sing that but obliged for 10 seconds at that fan club event .. it's definitely NOT really played

but it's like that for all the 'naughty' songs it's really obsessional for some fans to get it .. they must fantasy that something happens between the singer and the receiving end ... DLS is obsessing many because of what is said in the lyrics and IMo it's not performed because of that as well ...not need to feed the beast there are enough fans losing it at shows upon nothing no need for Jon to add those

well this is exactly How I feel about those called gems by fans .. they wouldnt be that great songs if the lyrics were not that graphic I bet on that ...

for me all those graphic songs are meant to NEVER be performed (DLS is not as graphic as LMIB but to me it's obvious Jon is not comfortable with any songs with 'special' lyrics )

I don't know if it's been suggested (as I don't want to read the entire thread LOL) but how about assessing rarity as the average number of times it gets played:

total number of plays live/number of years since the songs release

This would surely give a truer reflection of how rare a song really is?

Even more accurate would be a total number of plays/number of shows since the songs release, although who could be arsed putting a list like that together? <cough>Seb?<cough>

That could be the defining rarity list for the Jovi catalogue!

that is probably the only really accurate way to do a list but good luck to anyone doing it ...

For me, the song that I would pay 1,000,000 to hear live would be If Thats What It Takes!
But unfortunately, even if they did It nowadays It wouldn't be 50% as powerfull as the album version.
I would kill someone to go back in time to 1995 and watch them perform this song live in Wembley!
