Default Really Bad Idea

Hey

What do people think of Rockin' All Over The World? Personally I think it is a good song that gets people going. However, to stick it in between Last Man Standing and Bad Name is unbelievably silly. I was at the Manchester gig expecting them to launch straight into Bad Name but when it went quiet I honestly thought there was something wrong with the sound, but in fact it was meant to happen, that is, Jon just playing the intro on his acoustic. Why do they do this? It really kills the mood.

I think maybe they think that UK audiences want to hear the song because it's seen as a classic by some. Maybe we do want to hear it but certainly not where it's being played in the set.

Thoughts anyone?

I disagree with ya! As a seasoned Jovi gig go-er, you expect Bad Name to come second, any change to that is good!

Plus I just love them doing that song! kicks things off in style.

I like the song and think that Bad Name 2nd is really predictable & boring. I wouldn't mind if they threw bad name out of the set all together. They don't have to play every hit every night. They could mix them up.

Completely agree. It's nice that for once the 2nd song isn't bad name

Consider how you'd feel if instead of Bad Name they played something special like Homebound Train, Wild is the Wind, I Am, or something off the box set that they haven't played before. I'd walk away thinking, "Wow! I saw something special tonight!" In the end, would it matter that they didn't play a song they've played at every show for the past 20 years?

I would actually be very disappointed if they didn't play Bad Name at a concert. Its a #1 hit and it shows, to some extent however limited, that they care about what most of the fans come to hear. I went to a Springsteen concert a few years back, aware of most of his major hits, and didn't hear one song that I recognized.

I thought it was brilliant. The whole 'melody' idea was great too. And I loved their version of The Boys Are Back In Town.
