This exactly.

Someone posted this on backstage:

Got this Email From Sparkart (Refunds)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Backstage JBJ members,

Due to personal matters, Richie Sambora will not be performing on the upcoming
leg. This will not result in the cancellation of any show. If you wish to submit
a request for a refund, please go to the Backstage JBJ check-in table during
your designated check-in time.

To submit a refund request you will need to bring:

1. Valid Photo ID: Government-issued photo ID matching the name of the Backstage
JBJ member who purchased the tickets.

2. Print out of your ticket confirmation email.

To view a list of tour dates and venue information, visit: http://live.bonjovi.com/tour.

Thank you,
The Bon Jovi Team

Does this mean it's only for the VIP tickets? I guess that makes sense why the venues wouldn't know, but still not cool.

Sounds like it. I tried calling the venue I'm attending today and there was no information. Hopefully someone picks mine up off of StubHub

Another good point. It's like they said everyone can have a refund to make themselves sound cool, and then proceed to offer a refund to a few hundred people who would have to turn in their tickets literally at the gate. For ****s sake.

I'm so fed up with this band right now.

I called the Des Moines venue again today. They said they'd contact the promoter and call me back on Monday.

It's Fanclub tickets. But this guy seems to be the only one who got this E-Mail. No one else said that he got an E-Mail like this. But this would be typical. Offering refund at the venue hoping that not many People will travel to get the Money back.

The tickets are sold through ticketmaster, not the venue (according to the venue I called today). Nothing about this makes any sense. It was probably meant to make no sense though.

I don't want a refund because of Richie not being there. I want a refund because these set lists are absolutely pathetic.

That's just tough shit, no offense. You can't go to a concert and demand a refund because you didn't like the songs.
That's like buying a pair of jeans, wearing them, then taking them back and saying they don't fit. Or buying a Bic Mac, eating it, and asking for a refund because it tasted off.

You take your chances with each show. Some shows will be better than others, its the luck of the draw.

Melbourne got a shit setlist compared to Sydney in 2010. But I am still heading off to see them in Melbourne. I don't care if the set list sucks. I am going to see my favorite band. Jon could sing about grass growing and I'd still pay money to see that.
