Default Review of New York

I went to my local theater with a couple of buddies and saw Bon Jovi tonight and it was great! Great atmosphere and the music was loud! I must say I was impressed by watching them tonight and it looked like they were on top of their games. Unfortunately, they played the same setlist as a couple nights ago with some funky ass cover before Bad Medicine. Overall, I got 2 guys to go buy the album tomorrow along with myself.. (AGAIN!) Great night and I hope everyone that went enjoyed it too.

I thought the show was pretty good if not a bit short.
I agree that they only need the 5 of them though

Great show. Too short. Jon is playing it too safe, he's too much of a businessman now, needs to be an entertainer first or he will alienate some fans and bore the others. Same setlist (you're a liar Jon). He sounded better than he has in a while though.

Highlight was Saturday Night with the added harmonies. They really need to work on dynamics though, give it a little nidge towards the end, don't just let it stagnate. Still, VERY good. I think Jon should do more quiet harmonizing in his music, it suits him much better with his new 'style.'

The whole production was great. One Hell of an undertaking and they pulled it off. Very inventive.

Did anyone else find the vocal mix was too quiet? It was like you could barely hear Jon in "LSM", but it got slightly better throughout the show. I am just wondering if this was the mix, or my theatre? It was so much fun!! People were screaming during the showing of the HAND video, "Turn it UP!!"
I was also impressed with Jon's voice tonight. I didn't expect him to be awesome, and he was very, very good. I knew he wouldn't go for most big notes, but he surprised me and kicked ass a few times vocally. I really liked the cover they did. But I am SO SUPER BORED of the same setlist, over and over. It's almost like I know the concert versions of Bad Name and Prayer better than the originals.
And everyone who had a ticket stub got to buy the CD after the show. I also got a few stickers, a button, and a poster. Wicked good time.

Show kicked ass. I wasn't at all surprised by the set-list. I knew it would be the same as Amsterdam. However, the band sounded pretty much better than I've heard them in a long time.

Have A Nice Day is done no justice at awards shows. With their own sound cranked up, the song rocks live! Damn, even Bad Name sounded good last night. The theatre we went to was about 90% full. Only seats in the first 2 rows were empty. Great atmosphere.

the theatre i went to was about 90% empty. and some people clapped after every song. but the people weren't around me, so it didnt bother me other than the people are clapping for nothing. the same people did get the volume turned up a lot so i thank them for that. i think the vocals on LMS was not the theatre, but the mix coming from the venue or the satellite feed or something. anyway i'm glad i went.
