It's like the lyrics from ballad of youth...
Hey mister know it all
What do you recommend
You think you know the answers
But the questions never end
Young hearts better hold on
Beyond the innocence
Your youth is gone
So look in your mirror
You got nothing to lose
Don't waste your time away
Thinkin' 'bout yesterday's blues
This innocence of going to a gig and letting my hair lose has disappeared slowly, and now I'm just overly critical. Last time I saw Sambora I was like' mehhh, he was all right. Decent gig but blah blah blah' whereas my friends who had no idea who he was and I had dragged along were 'OMG are you kiddin me he was orgasmic wooow wooow wood blah blah'. The only negative remark was about the screen savers in the back.
I was a little envious to be honest, I wished my experience was a bit more like theirs. Now clearly, these gigs on the European leg I doubt I could enjoy. But in the end, it's all perception and if people feel touched by a single note of Sambora's playing, it's still a good show. anyway... Rambling....Interesting review though...
