i actually left before the show was over, couldn't stand it anymore
Oh I am so sorry to hear your review. Though I have heard pretty much the same from Thierry If all of us die hard fans disliked the show there isn't much hope.

I bought tickets for the NY show and they were damn expensive. I can only hope that perhaps he rehearses before this show since it is for the purposes of filming.

I am sure New York will be better, Kathleen! I am keeping my fingers crossed for you!

(Thierry was at the Berlin show?)

I hope so, but I fear the problem is that Richie thinks he's pretty damn good

Well, I still enjoyed the show, but seeing Richie the way he looked and acted was absolutely sad. The show two years ago was miles better, though the band wasn't as good back then.

I think this is a tour of relaxation and shooting the new band. They are doing shows for fun, and not take it very seriously.

I think the big performance will come with the new album/Tour. They will take it very seriously. They will come with better sound equipment and a few screens, then everything will change.

Sorry, but I don't think so. It's Richie who has to sort out his (drinking?) problems, not the band. The band were fine, the sound was great, and you don't neccessarily need screens in those small venues. Unless Richie comes to the conclusion and admits that he has a problem, nothing will change (for the better)...

Hah! We die hards, especially us here are a bunch of overly critical elitists, who think we know everything better than the average dude at the show and therefore we can be a lot more critical. Yes that might in fact all be true. And yes, I believe it's the right attitude, am guilty myself... But hell, sometimes I wish I could just lay back and enjoy the gig a little more. It's like the lyrics from ballad of youth...

Hey mister know it all
What do you recommend
You think you know the answers
But the questions never end

Young hearts better hold on
Beyond the innocence
Your youth is gone
So look in your mirror
You got nothing to lose
Don't waste your time away
Thinkin' 'bout yesterday's blues

This innocence of going to a gig and letting my hair lose has disappeared slowly, and now I'm just overly critical. Last time I saw Sambora I was like' mehhh, he was all right. Decent gig but blah blah blah' whereas my friends who had no idea who he was and I had dragged along were 'OMG are you kiddin me he was orgasmic wooow wooow wood blah blah'. The only negative remark was about the screen savers in the back.
I was a little envious to be honest, I wished my experience was a bit more like theirs. Now clearly, these gigs on the European leg I doubt I could enjoy. But in the end, it's all perception and if people feel touched by a single note of Sambora's playing, it's still a good show. anyway... Rambling....Interesting review though...

sorry but if that's the case he shouldn't be charging 50€ per ticket!

I wouldn't have been as disappointed if I'd only paid half the amount.

Charging this much money and then just ****ing it up because you don't give a damn about rehearsing or about your fans is disrespectful, nothing less.
