When did he say the song was about Heather? I initially thought myself that Hearher was the famous face, but I don't recall him saying that. I later thought it was Jon, then I came to the conclusion that being fooled by a famous face referred to him coming to the realization that he had, at some point, started buying into his own hype and that image of himself was the famous face, and why he then says I'm tearing down what's left of my reflections.
Given what I assume is the current atmosphere, it wouldn't surprise me if it was a dig at Jon. But it's not much worse, IMO, than Jon's PR group working OT to filter every "top" list that comes out to find something they can say the band is "top" for last year and never failing to point out that it happened "even without guitarist Richie Sambora". Digs are still flying from both directions as far as I can see.
