RICHIE on this tour.. NOT INTO IT??

He was great in Omaha. Jon and Richie were constantly interacting with each other, going up to each other, making faces, smiling, laughing, talking to each other off mike. To be honest, it was like the Jon and Richie show.

I think the statement that this tour is Jon with backing musicians is pretty obnoxious if you haven't even seen a show. Richie was in fine form in Omaha, having a great time.

Speculation is all pretty useless. Maybe he is having marriage trouble with Heather. Maybe he's not feeling well--it IS cold and flu season. But I don't think it's wise to theorize on the interworkings of his mind or the interpersonal relationships among the band. This talk about Richie may be something like a few people have said he seemed "off" so now that's what people are looking for, so that's what they see.

I should have said this earlier. Both nights at Madison Square Garden, Richie was most definitely present and "on". Night 2 he sliced his finger on something and bled all over his guitar (it was a white guitar, very visible) and at the end of the song even joked with the audience about it.
Me thinks it's much ado about nothing.

Richie seemed fine to me at MSG night 2. He did cut his finger pretty badly though. Jon asked if he could go on and he said "What's a little blood and guts" lol. I'll see what he's like on Thurs night.

Had a friend at MCI (dc) last night, said Richie was in fine form, so whatever was off about him it seems he has recovered.

Richie looked a little, red & puffy, but I think that mostly cause he was wearing his usual "rock star" get up of a long sleeve shirt & long leather jacket that looked like it weight 50 lbs.

Once he got himself down to just a shirt, he was cooking w/gas!

Does anyone know if Heather was there last night?

I wasn't in DC but I saw Heather on some show (ET, Access Hollywood or something) and she said she was going to visit Richie in Montreal... not sure if she went to DC as well

Maybe her visit put him in a better mood I am hoping maybe Richie just had a cold these few weeks and is now getting over it

I can't wait til my next show (JAN 20) and hopefully I can write a new thread saying Richie was 100% himself

I'm curious about one thing...did Heather volunteer that she was going to Montreal, or was she asked directly when she is going to see Richie again? I'm just curious as to the context because we don't have access to these celeb shows over here...

Not sure Liza... it was a really quick snippet of her attending some movie premiere... they said something like how there have been all these rumors of their marriage in trouble and the camera zoomed in to show her wedding band was still on

I believe they said Heather has denied the rumors of marriage troubles and just said she was going to montreal

I know it is really none of our business but i hope they are okay .. i think they make such a cute couple...

Just wanted to say I LOVE your pics from the These Days days---what a beautiful collection of music--soooooooooo underappreciated! I think Richie has always been more mellow on stage than the other guys--he's my fav!!! I'm sure he's fine!
